I’ve never understood the need to justify Guy’s actions on the dark path. To me, this character has always been like this but only through his recent acquisition of wealth is he in a position to act on it.

Yeah that's fair. I had a solo path for each girl that's good Guy, but i don't think it's really gonna matter in the grand scheme of things, so i'll likely just have a Good save, corruption save and full dark save

that's why I hated the old dark path in chapter 1 on the Nicki path even tho im not a dark path enjoyer I did check out the content once. I hate it when there is any kind of justification for doing dark things like rape. I rather that dark characters just owns they are a dark / evil piece of shit and not try to justify their actions

I just never saw the need for justification, outside of liking some anime and getting lucky on crypto, Guy is basically a blank slate. Use whatever justification fits. If someone enjoys that content, that's good enough justification
Even if a character is "always like this" there're some actual things which trigger them to leash out at a certain person and not any of literally hundreds of others they meet every day in all kinds of situations. For some players the situation with Nicki was this sort of a trigger for their version of Guy.
"Guy got rich" didn't cause him to spend that month raping random people left and right. Even though by this logic this was all that supposedly took.
i dont really care about a justification to do stuff tbh , its just that peaple dont like remakes of unfinished games

Rapist generally aren't pragmatic or machiavellian. Criminals they try to hide their crimes but they don't sit there dreaming of all the crimes they could get away with if only they had money, they steal money to finance their crimes and intimidate victims or just murder them. Morality is something they abandon, it's why you lot winning about justification is so asinine. The character writing for guy was better before the retcon.

don't forget that this isn't just some normal debt situation where the most Nicki has to worry about is being on the streets; they got the loan from shady people and their lives are at risk. It depends on the type of criminal we're talking about. Many criminals are opportunists, like they see a bag or a phone on a bar table = grab n' run. That type don't last long before ending behind bars.
Then you have the cold motherfuckers. The fbi trapped BTK only because he was bored and sent them letters to troll them. He started killing in 1974 and they catched him in 2005.

For a lot of criminals, prison might as well be post secondary.
Because if they have the right connections, then they aren't being killed in jail, and they get a lot of time to network behind bars as well. Network with other convicts, the dirty lawyers/judges, and the recruiters for the underworld.
That's what lighter prison sentences bring, when the problem really should rectified with 50,000 volts instead.

No more reworks for now. Only code work to patch Chapter 1 remake with the rest.
That will take June prolly, then back to Ch11.

That is, generally, incorrect. The vast majority of Really Bad People tend to justify their actions to themselves. It's not so much that they have no morality, just that their morality and the morality of Average, Normal People don't match up. Their morality is totally skewed and generally self serving. If you look at the worlds most notorious serial killers, nearly all of them have a "Moral Justification" for their actions. Bundy, Ridgway, Franklin, Angelo, Shipman, Pichushkin, Kaczynski, Manson, all these people thought (or convinced themselves) they had moral justification. Most criminals have some sort of rationalization. Something to remember is that while some movie Villains are mustache twirling ne'er do wells, in real life, most people, even bad people, don't see themselves as the villain.
