Thanks for the kind words, man! I'm always happy to hear that the girls in the game have more depth than the normal porn starlets you find in other AVNs.

And I'm glad you appreciate all the weird little offshoot choices that I write in there, that many people never see. :'D It's nice to know that stuff doesn't go unnoticed.

Have a little early Easter treat!

Careful, you're giving me incentives to just butter you up every time I want a Gabbi pic ;)

Wait what? I mean it might just be that I know a lot of queer people but I thought it was pretty clearly telegraphed that Mason is a trans man. Like, in the story way before this next update coming out I mean
Not going to lie, i did not saw that coming. This was a surprise to be sure but a welcome one. :p

I didn't get it. I notice some more "feminine" facial features but I just assumed this was a stylistic choice

Why would that be obvious ?
Mason is homeless and sleeps on the streets. So my natural train of thought was that she wants to hide being a girl because she doesn't want to be abused/raped...never thought about trans or not in this scenario and her wanting to treated as a man doesn't seems like a priority in her situation.

I’ve tiptoed around the Mason question when people ask, because I’d just rather people find the answer in the game. Even if it's not terribly important, or the answer is obvious. I do my best to avoid cheap cliffhangers and dramatic shock reveals, trying to make it all flow naturally from what's come before. So, while none of it's designed to be hard to figure out, I still don't just want to give it away.

It's the same reason I've avoided saying exactly when Cassie will show up, or what the secret of Ashe's photograph is. I'll get to the answer soon enough, but I'd like people to be a little surprised, even if they think they know the answer.

For me I saw a lot of hints toward Mason being trans. As RC said it seemed, to me, like Mason was kicked out of his home because his parents didn't accept him for who he is. I saw a lot of parallels between him and very real situations that happen all the time in real life. He presents male with some pretty obviously feminine features, is homeless, and wears baggy clothes to try to hide said feminine features.

That said, I recognize I kinda came off as an ass by implying it should be obvious, as my lived experiences aren't the same as other people's lived experiences, so something that seems clear to me because of the people I know isn't going to be clear for everyone, so apologies for saying that how I did.

That's why they are called spoilers. They ruin that little moment of joy that happens in the story when a burning question is answered. Now its another thing if you are just putting it fourth as a theory, like folks that think that Cassie is a lesbian because she has such an *ahem* close friend but if it is something that you know instead of something that you think that is what the inline spoilers and

It is meant as a courtesy, and how much courtesy you extend to others on the board ends up returned to you eventually. Even if you are just theory-crafting or talking out of your ass like I do, using the spoiler functions when it doubt couldn't hurt a bit. Some folks absolutely adore spoilers. It is good to give the option.

I'd say you do a very good job of accomplishing this. I know it's been said in the thread already but this is genuinely one of the best written games I've played. Like, I generally like playing the dark path in games (and trust me when I say the dark path in this game is very hot), but you present the story in ways that it feels genuinely more rewarding to me to pick the good path cause you make it feel like we're having an actual impact with our choices to help people, and you do it without us needing to be a fucking pushover to be a good person in this game.

Edit - I guess a bit of a more concise way of putting it is, I came for the dark aspects and stayed for the phenomenal writing and ability to live out what I've realized is an even bigger fantasy of mine: helping people in need in an actually impactful way
