It wasn't until I got a little feedback, and got deeper into the story, that I realized it paid off to take a more measured approach. I mean, I had a number of people basically writing Nicki off like, "Well where the hell can we go with her now, we've done everything!"
I'll be curious to see what people think of Gabby's story as it develops. This next installment is big for her. Like I mentioned above, it's very intentional that she and Britt are peers, but one looks more petite/baby-faced and gets treated like a kid, while one is more developed and treated like an adult. A big part of Gabby's story is about trying to be taken seriously, and being realistic about how her relationship with MC will be perceived.
Meh. I wouldn't worry about it. I've met people that fit these descriptions in life. Hell, a girl in my 8th grade class was already well on her way to Brittani's body type. That was rough for her. A buddy of mine meanwhile is a 6'10 slenderman. Nature does weirder shit than any fiction does.
For me personally I prefer at least some sort of acknowledgment of what's come before, even if it's just text, along the lines of what you did in this scene. It makes it feel ever-so-slightly less gamey by not having things just repeat exactly the same over and over. But I also understand that's a lot of extra work so I don't blame devs when it is just the same thing again.

Here's the thing: when I started developing FiN, I was enamored with everything I could do, so I tended to goYou must be registered to see the links. Everything was cranked up to 11. People will be surprised when I release the initial draft of the first four chapters, and they see everything that was possible with Gabby, Madison, and other girls that you still can't go all the way with..
But, I don't intend to change Nicki's scene so you only get a blowjob, or something like that. On the contrary, I want to use what I've learned to expand the sex scenes, and make the paths really different. I was limited in the first chapter because, as people might recall, I wasn't doing the renders for that one. In order to make things easier forYou must be registered to see the links, I basically just made do with a few sex poses, and different expressions. I hand-drew a lot of elements into some of those renders, including drawing a whole new eyeball for Nicki at one point. :'D Low-tech solutions for my high-brow porno problems.
So, the new stuff will feature more diversity in terms of options, more diversity in the renders, and ultimately streamline certain story elements to make the story flow better. I think it'll be a vast improvement.
As for that bathroom scene, I had to look at the script. Unless I missed it elsewhere, it seems like the 'sore' aspect is only mentioned if you choose vaginal, and then go back to vaginal. So yeah, it's basically just saying you already fucked her hard, and she's feeling sore as a result.

Also, this was the only time I've tried this type of sex menu, where returning to an option gives you new renders/text. I'm curious if people like that, or if they prefer to be able to replay a section of the sex menu. I'm still toying with this gimmick in some ways -- Pepper's upcoming scene has some reactive elements, for instance. But, I'd love to know if people prefer one type of menu to the other.
As for Ashe's dad -- yeah, he's just supposed to be a big motherfucker. There's another character (Trevor) in the chapter that also stretches credulity.

Some people know I come from a background of traditional drawing, superhero comics, etc. So, I think it's fun to stretch reality a bit, and use characters' physical traits as shorthand for their personalities, either leaning into or subverting them. I'm not going for strict realism, it's more about what looks cool on the screen, and serves the story.
Gabby looks like a kewpie doll, because it makes her look more innocent/baby-faced - the irony being she desperately wants to be taken seriously as an adult. Brittani has an anatomically unlikely body for an eighteen year-old, and as a result she faces a level of sexualization and predatory behavior that she's unprepared to deal with. So, she and Gabby are facing opposite ends of the same problem. Ashe has a hips-to-shoulder ratio that is frankly ridiculous. Nicki's brown-orange eyes are a little unrealistic. And yeah, Trevor's seven feet tall and built like a scarecrow, and Ashe's dad looks like the Hulk. Why be constrained by reality when I've got a whole toolbox of weird shit to play with?

But, I also don't think there's anything wrong with just being buddies with Gabby. I've mentioned it elsewhere, but I have an idea for a good-aligned MC and friend-Gabby scene that I think will be a lot of fun. We got a little taste of Gabby playfully needling MC in Chapter Two, and I'd like to bring that energy back, and establish a surrogate dad/daughter, older brother/younger sister type of relationship for them.
My bad... maybe all the gilf fantasies... can you catch Altzheimer's? That sounds really good actually and my worries are quelled.
