o yeah if it's corruption without romance im out , to me there is no point in making a innocent or shy LI a bit more open unless you are going to actually romance her and have romantic moments, as well eventually have a ending where you Marry or have kids with said LI. Otherwise to me there is no point in it. Tho could be what I consider corruption isn't true corruption when it comes to these games either cause I don't think ive played any game that had a corruption focus besides having 1 LI be a bit more open with their self and less shy.

All paths are fire to me, usually one side will be worse than the other due to devs just being better at writing for either romance or corruption. This guy is good at writing the sweet stuff, the lust stuff and the evil stuff. All entertaining and I look forward to seeing each route play out. Only game I genuinely look forward to updates for

There isn't a "dark" path, there's romance, corruption and rape. You could put the corruption and rape under the blanket category of "dark" but it isn't the one path.

Feel like this was all pretty well explained by my most recent Dev Update, but to whit: it's a bonus update. Next update is still coming sometime between late April and mid May. At the absolute latest I'll get it out by the end of May. I've been dealing with some health problems, day job nonsense, etc.
It's true. First you get the sugar, then you get the power, then you get the women. Then you miss your four-month update window because -- wait, hold on. January, February, March..
The data on this is kind of interesting. Friends Indeed was downloaded 600+ times with the most recent update, while Friends in Need was downloaded 400+ times. Both were made available at the same time, and both for free. I can't say how many of those are people who prefer vanilla to not, how many downloaded the wrong version by accident but weren't subs, etc. Then there's the people who only download it from pirate sites, and get whatever version is uploaded there. But, there seems to be a non-marginal number of people who prefer a more vanilla experience.The non-dark path is written so well and is really sweet.Don't think I'll be able to play the Dark Path again after playing the non-dark and my first playthrough was the Dark Path.
Which kind of tracks, when you look at which games are the most popular.
For me too, honestly. There's a reason I don't want to draw out the dark paths too long. They're just not super fun to write, after a while.

Agree too. A bit of corruption can help the story move along, like accepting a blowjob from Mason when giving him a place to stay but still treating him well.
But Guy going full Bill Cosby/Mike Tyson is a dead end on the long run. Who would want to stay close to such a person?
personally i play Guy as a good guy, but i love to be mean as fuck to Brent, Jamie and will do so with Gabi's dad too. given the opportunity.
I think the "corruption" in this game is closer to "exploring kinks with someone you like" at least so far. Guy isn't really "changing" the people they are just more open to being flirty/kinks. Hell Britanni goes further in the store if you didn't get lewd with her during the photoshoot (iirc). I don't personally care how dark/light something is as long as it is interesting and well written, but the further a game goes on with a split like this the harder the "logic" has to stretch.

My op ed: The only girl I detest is Risa, and there will be as much unpleasantness for as Neon will program into the dark route. "Chained naked to the dumpster behind the VD Clinic" level dark would be a good start.

Guy's dark paths are essentially just expediting or exacerbating preexisting conditions. Nicki is loyal to an abusive loser boyfriend. Ashe is a guilt-ridden tour guide at an art museum. Britanni already knows and accepts she will need to make poor decisions to meet her goal. Gabby is in a dysfunctional family with a failing business. Pepper and Violet are trying to escape endless cycles of poverty. Mason is a homeless sexworker. The list goes on. The Dark paths are essentially just expediting or exacerbating preexisting conditions - Abuse Nicki and

I think the problem with the dark path is that it's too strong right off the bat that the tone is basically stuck on black and that the mc can't really suffer consequences so your basically dealing with equivalent of a murder hobo from D&D who just killing everyone for the hell of it with 0 push back so it feels like the mc has already won and were just going thru the motions it's a bit monotone .

I do think it might be going a bit in a better direction depending on your choices, hard to really say. Take this with a grain of salt since im not a Dark Path player as I dont watch any of the Dark path lewds but read the dialogue before and after the lewds, for context and only play it to see consequences that will eventually happen after I played all my other saves.
But Last time I played the dark path I picked to drug Ashe and choice to only sleep next to her and not rape her. In the morning I told her I didn't have sex with her. Before she left she gave guy some kind of look like she almost felt bad for him, like she can tell he is lonely or something. Which makes me think it could potentially open up a redemption arc with her or something only time will tell. Nicki has something kind of similar too where you can apologize but if I recall that one felt a bit weird as if I recall correctly she kind of forgave him too easily and acted like nothing happened. I hope if there is a redemption arc planned for Ashe it isn't brushed under the rug like with Nicki.
