beautiful people, a question from my ignorance, what is the difference between friends in need and friends indeed? apart from censorship or is it just that?

Friends Indeed = Patreon version - censored version, darkest content disabled

Friends in Need = Subscribestar version - full version game - 100% the game the Author originally conceived

no matter what your tastes are and which paths you follow, just play the full "Friends in Need" game - I've always played the good guy routes only and I've skipped the dark content without any problem

TBH if you have to leave the game to read a walkthrough to not have an unwanted scene, that's not acceptable. It needs to be in game.
simple solution drop 0x52_URM into your game folder and when options are listed choose the one you really want no WT needed. just remember some choices MAY be hidden due to previous choices, however you can still choose how you will play it.

What about preventing her from being raped at all? I haven't played this yet (as in this game at all - waiting for a non-beta), and if that's something in and not given a choice to prevent, not interested.
she has been raped before you arrive (apparently all previous night) and you are left alone with her in a state of unconsciousness what you do is your choice.

Not 'mkay, huh?

The dude sits on a pile of bucks and publicly gives it away to various weirdos. Didn't he ever think that someone like Lucien might one day drop by for a cup of coffee, stick a gun under his nose and offer to become the largest donor of a private studio making adult films educational content?
ok, Lucien DID NOT drop by, mc is taken to him by Risa. get your facts straight BEFORE you start with supposition.

This completely puts aside that this very problem of MC worrying about his safety is highlighted in the story. We see him reflect on his bad luck and his need to be more prepared, and then he.. Takes steps to do it.
oh you mean like deciding to speak with Alex about learning to defend himself or obtain a bodyguard moments before Risa badgers him into taking her on a journey to her "dealer"? (you know since her car "was towed?")

Not sure where the game is supposed to take place
mentioned quite often especially when talking about the calendar "the Tri-State" area... now since he is from small town Ohio went to the "Big City" that could likely mean it is the New York Tri-City area of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. might also help with what beach he intends to take his sister. (but this is not guaranteed as there are many tri-state locations in the North-East.)

The full public version comes out June 5th I think. Patrons/Subscribers get it earlier, ofc :)

What the other guy said; Friends in Need is full version. Don't forget to patch it, too! It's d/led from the front page. That's what really unlocks everything.

Thanks for pointing this out, but I'm well aware of it, which is why I wrote "someone like Lucien" rather than just "Lucien". What I said is that being rich, publicly known, proactive and careless, he would sooner or later attract the attention of criminals and become their target. But it happened differently, another friend in need literally dragged him, unarmed and unprepared, into the lair of these guys.

MC is very rich - that's a fact, he's a local public figure - that's a fact, he sticks his nose into other people's affairs, walks at night in poor neighborhoods - that's a fact. He has a lot of money and hasn't even thought about his security so far. Given these facts, it seems to me that it is only a matter of time before he is approached by someone who wants to help him get rid of his extra money, from simple petty robbers to guys like Lucien who specifically prey on rich, careless dudes. Although Lucien usually blackmails them with compromising photos, but who knows if this is his only area of expertise.

So my facts are straight as an arrow, man. :KEK:

BUT. But I didn't continue this topic because I gave it a second thought and read several posts from the dev and other people here. I still think MC should have thought about his safety long before Risa brought him to Lucien. He seems like a smart guy and working in the store helps you understand what kind of people you can meet sometimes :HideThePain:

Putting aside the fact that authors usually make their characters do stupid things in order to make the story interesting, people are pretty good at doing stupid things themselves. People routinely ignore obvious potential problems until they face the consequences. MC lived the life of a simple clerk until he suddenly became rich, it is clear that he could not change in one day. He is quite careless because he has not yet encountered serious trouble. Plus, he lives in an expensive and apparently well-guarded building, so he doesn't have to worry about housebreakers.

However, he already receives the first serious hint via a bum’s knife if he tries to help another friend in need without thinking first. Nevertheless, the inertia of thinking remains and he continues to ignore the danger of such behavior. A cute girl you don’t know well asks you for a ride, what’s wrong with that, who will refuse? Anyone who hasn’t found themselves in a situation where a pretty, unfamiliar girl can lead you into a dark alley and introduce you to a bunch of her friends with whom you’ll willingly share the contents of your wallet and car keys is unlikely to even think about such an outcome.

Well, so far everything looks quite natural. And the gun put to MC's head finally made him think about the meaning of life. I'm looking forward to seeing how the MC plans to solve this problem because Risa has put her burden on his shoulders and now he's the Chosen One.

The cops weren't very helpful, so it seems MC decided to deal with Lucien on his own. The actions that he has taken so far look very funny, although it is probably quite natural for a person who has not encountered anything like this to be confused and act on impulse. And the gym is good for your health anyway.

Of course, everything I wrote relates only to the Good Guy as the dark path isn't my cup of tea.

All interesting points but remember bro I don't need a gun to save these beautiful delicate flowers.
And every girl in this game is sweet & kind none of them would even think to hurt me emotionally or physically.

Yeah, here in Pennsylvania, it means Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware. Though that constitutional carry thing wouldn't be a thing there as was mentioned.

I hate Lucien more than ever now. That fucker deserves to rot in jail forever.
If he's the main antagonist and I think he is then I can't wait to see him get his comeuppance.
