lol damn it I don't like the dark path but man i'm glad you brought this topic up and maybe Neon is considering it. cause after seeing that renders of Ash and thinking about that type of roleplay sounds kind of hot and I never thought id say that about something like that as it's very close to dark path . That and well Neonghost has some real talent when it comes to dirty talk or roleplay. I dislike the daddy talk usually hot as hell with Risa, The incest roleplay with Ashe hotter than any incest game ive played and Britanti had some good ones. So I really want him to keep this theme of roleplay sex scenes going. If he does I think should be Nicki's turn for some kind of roleplay scene not sure what tho. Maybe something like prostitution roleplay with Nicki could be really hot now I think about it. It could match her character pretty well considering her past almost doing a porno and her being a onlyfans girls and doing some modeling in those 6 months she was away from the MC's life even tho .

NeonGhosts Sorry for the tag but kind of want you to see my suggestion about the Nicki roleplay idea and see what you think about it. Assuming this whole theme with roleplay scenes is something you intent to keep expanding on once in while going forward.

cmon you dont go feeling bad killing in gta games thats the fun of it ! Enjoy the darkness in the games...i played the dark route and i liked it even if there is moments where i feel bad for the characters especially the ones that are loyal or just good human beings sometimes i do feel bad that i had to rollback a few timesHey, btw NeonGhosts, do you plan on having any characters that do any uh... rape-play, in the same vein as Ashe doing incest-play? I think it'd be a nice way to explore some darker kinks without, ya know.. being brutal to the characters in the game. I guess Brit kinda already did that when she roleplayed as MC's sister, but, I guess maybe I was thinking a little further and more involved than that?

for me the difference between something like the dark path and GTA is in this game you can see the emotion, fear and tears as you are doing horrible things to these girls. Where the one time I tried it I felt bad like a horrible piece of shit and I just couldn't watch it was to much for me didn't make it past the first Nicki rape scene without using ctrl skip during the dark scenes. While in GTA even if you might once in awhile it doesn't hit nearly as hard as it does this game for me. The times you might see some real emotions in GTA are mostly during a cutscene where you have no control the MC's actions while in this game you are the one that is making the decision. So in that alone make it harder for me and easier to feel bad for doing it. Only time it's a player decision in GTA is during the gameplay and during gameplay you just don't see any of the emotions on the characters faces to such a degree. While in concept the dark themes are the same or worst depending on who you ask it doesn't feel the same or close enough for me to really compare the 2 , as one is just lifeless random no name NPC's where the other are actual characters with emotions etc etc.

in the end its all depictions...some would still feel uncomfortable and that's understandable … such topics do have a heavy weight especially that it depicts acts that are quite hard to the degree that even seeing such thing would make someone's heart uneasy and indeed there is topics that should never be even depicted but this isn't one of them as i think does it really matter in the end personally I don't think so.....the game gives you the choice of being good/evil whit whoever you like + the great story this is one of my favorite games ever for me

It does seem like a questionable use of dev time, at least IMHO. A big part of this game's appeal is the contrast in how differently things turn out thanks to our decisions. Adding faux-rape content would probably just short-circuit that differential. I'm sure some people would enjoy a less dark version that feels kinky without being so cruel, but I'm not sure how big that group is. For most people I would think it'd be the equivalent of non-alcoholic beer at Oktoberfest: beer drinkers have a better option close at hand, and teetotalers have no use for it.
I'd certainly hate to waste any of our precious light-path time with, say, Carolina on that sort of content. Then again I hated Risa's scenes and she seems to be very popular, so who knows, maybe there's a market for this sort of thing.

I can see a way for the dev to use said scene for both type of players. Start out with the fake rape roleplay. The MC pushes the boundaries a bit to far and the LI says no to something. Then from there you resect her boundaries or push them aside and it then does becomes a dark path scene. Maybe won't be nearly as violent or dark as the other dark path scenes for those players. But it can still work for both groups.

I'm not a fan of the hardcore rape in this game but I liked this scene because I knew that the MC wasn't actually hurting her and it was just a bit of kinky fun. I don't think it would take too much development time to make more variations of sex scenes like this.

I tend to agree with that. Besides the corruption routes are already kind of doing that, at least from my point of view. Also we can never know with p@tr3on/paypal what bullshit they will try to pull next.
As Neon himself mentioned this kind of play may walk too close to crossing the line of their current terms of use.

I agree, but everyone has their limits, and I've sort of found mine. Most of what was carrying me through those scenes is the shock value of it, and that was definitely fun for a while. After the nth time, though, that basically fades and then all I'm left with is really strong writing that communicates a character's suffering.. effectively. I guess I'm not into that unless it's particularly new and different or in very short spurts. Also, apparently I have to be sober.. I play this game high sometimes, and that makes the dark scenes hit too hard I think. On the flip side, it also makes the romance/corruption scenes that much better

The characters & writing are good enough that really it just becomes more interesting variety, seeing how the LIs react to the scenarios and what not. I never thought I'd be into incest roleplay, because... fucking why when I can just get the straight incest? But that Ashe scene was fucking hot, really some great erotica. Same with Brit's roleplay.
I don't think people have anything to worry about either way. Even though many of us like the idea of Neon putting some of our shared sexy fantasies onto paper, despite what some have said, he's done a pretty good job of showing restraint. The scenes interchange between moving the story forward versus moving a relationship forward, or both. I can't think of a single scene in the game that feels pointless. He's hinted at some smaller sex encounters that might do neither, but they'll be very short and easy for him to render. But for the most part, if a scene doesn't do one of those two things, or it becomes more work than it's worth, I see Neon pivoting. The game has been fine and will stay that way, 100%.
