I mentioned this in yesterday's Dev Update, but it'll be added to the main game with the next release. Some of my supporters are in places where their bandwidth is limited, and I don't see the point in making them download 3 GB+ just for a mini-update.

Is it going to be added during main story like Brent, or on the main menu under extra content. I would prefer the second option, although it does add to the story, it breaks the flow of the story when it asks do you want to see this minisode or not.

I would also prefer Brent's to be moved to main menu, cause I didn't really care for his story and would rather the main story just follow MC, and these pov shifts for other characters stay on main menu under extras.

I made it into a stand-alone Ren'py file, so it won't fuck up your main game. Just extract and run it like a regular game.

Yeah, the plan is to put them into a menu where you can access them, once you've gotten to a certain point in the story.

And they're a chance for me to put out some content without meaningfully affecting the normal dev work. People are free to complain, but last month, I put out a 130+ image teaser for Chapter 11 that I mostly worked on over my (unpaid) vacation, and this month will have a 300+ image teaser for Chapter 1, as well as this mini-sode which I put up for free. I'd understand the gripes if I was over here fucking around with something which added nothing to the story while also delaying progress on the core story. But that's hardly the case.

Another point to this is a situation like mine. I don't play the game (but will someday ), but a special here and there is a good way for members like me to see if I want to play the OG game or not. You can also look at it like a gallery replay.

Also, the number of members who lack respect for developers on F95 is embarrassing, IMO.


Son, the lack of respect you show on that F95zone site is embarrassing, to say the least.
You leave no choice but to take you to the root cellar and chain you to the altar for a few days.
Maybe that will teach you to respect others, son.

I must say the Blue Valentine episode was not what I expected and the story in it did not go the way I thought that story would go.

pretty sure that only works for a very old version and would break your game it was made a joke. Good thing cause even if you are a Nicki hater you shouldn't remove her from the game without doing dark things to do. As I personally find removing characters you don't liek disrespectful towards the dev's hard work

I can see why there is a mod to remove nicki. She might be a good character later on but that intro is just infuriating and none of the options offer any genuine satisfaction. For example, choosing "offer to pay for sex" leads to a 2 option choice that makes no difference because both lead to the same path options: "reconsider" or "tell her to strip". If choosing to be aggressive had you suggesting she would have to do some sexual favor for the money and she acts annoyed, then the character tells her off with some line like "like you didn't choose to dress this way for exactly this reason?" then give the option to reconsider or have her strip, where the reconsider option has her leaving without any sexual encounter but having her feel guilty for how she is treating you, that would be much more satisfying. Plus you could keep the "be nice, but firm" option the same to still offer that outcome of them hooking up.

She came to ask for help but she hadn't seen him in awhile so she hung out instead of going straight to the money. IIRC the clothes, and even her asking in the first place were Brent's idea. Personally I just looked at it as a friend in a tight spot, and the fact that she was probably willing to sell herself to get out of it just made me feel even worse for her. I can see Guy being mad that he didn't hear from her again for two months after that, but that was also explained to my satisfaction. I haven't led the most privledged of lives and I've seen a lot of people I care about do stupid, reckless and dangerous things to try to 'fix' bad situations. I'd never feel like a victim because they wanted my help (at times even if they want me to do the stupid, reckless and dangerous things with them.)

I guess a possibility for this to become part of the main story could be: MC is gonna come in as the Knight in shining armor to free some damsels ... or on dark route to become the new boss.

Her clothes are mentioned in the encounter specifically because it seems odd.. I'm very aware that the whole thing was brent's idea, that's not my concern with the scene. Whether you consider it an attempt at seduction or not is irrelevant, I do and based off of the dialogue in the scene, so does the mc. Which is why I feel the choices in the scene should offer another outcome to both give the player some satisfaction and set up the Nicky character for a more meaningful return in the next encounter.
