Her clothes are mentioned in the encounter specifically because it seems odd.. I'm very aware that the whole thing was brent's idea, that's not my concern with the scene. Whether you consider it an attempt at seduction or not is irrelevant, I do and based off of the dialogue in the scene, so does the mc. Which is why I feel the choices in the scene should offer another outcome to both give the player some satisfaction and set up the Nicky character for a more meaningful return in the next encounter.
That's happening. That's what Neon is working on (as well as changing some of the art) - so you can give her the money without sex - either because you don't want a relationship with Nicki at all, or because you don't want to start your relationship like that.

Which is good to see, hopefully the mc is a bit less of a pushover in the dialogue as well.

I don't really care about that. At Guy's level of wealth, it's the equivalent of an old friend asking if you can spare a fiver. There are people in my life who I can equate to Nicky, old friends I haven't seen in awhile, and if I were wealthy tbh any of those people could get the money with a text message. "Emergency, need 20k" "NP, what account?"

Edit: Actually, one of the first things I'd do if I got the money is go to some of those people and make sure they were doing ok (and continued to) - pay off their mortgage (if they have one), take care of their rent, pay off cars, credit cards, college funds for their kids ... etc. The people I really considered friends wouldn't have to come to me at all.

Yeah, you'd be completely broke in a day. That's exactly how professional athletes end up broke, they end up paying for everyone in their family and can't sustain it when the money stops coming in. Rich people don't get rich by blowing money on other people.

*Disclaimer: I love Nicki & she's probably my favorite LI*

I think you're forgetting the main sticking point for people. The amount she asked for and how little it is compared to Guy's total wealth is irrelevant. It's not that she asked Guy for money, it's how she asked him. In hindsight, her intentions were good and she made an error in judgement. However, Guy isn't a mind reader and her motives seem suspect.

From Nicki's perspective, she feels terrible asking a friend for a huge (to her) loan, but genuinely needs to. The whole evening she's considering and reconsidering how to do it while also spending time with a friend she's sorely missed. Before she knows it the night is over so she grits her teeth and rips the band-aid off.
From Guy's perspective, he suddenly came into money and tried to hide it to prevent people begging for handouts. Then, almost as he feared, a seemingly close friend tracked him down and showed up asking for money. If she had been upfront about it, it would seem more genuine. By spending the whole evening and asking before hitting the door makes it seem manipulative. Like she was guilting him into helping her.

Later:
Again from Nicki's perspective, things go to hell so she tries to not take advantage of her friend again by trying to fix things on her own. Too late discovering she couldn't contact Guy if she wanted to. Things get worse and without options, realizing who's within reach and despite feeling like she took advantage of him last time, she turns to the only person she thinks will help her.
From Guy's perspective, his fears have been justified. She showed up out of nowhere, pumped him for cash, then cut off all communication. Now here she is months later back on his doorstep with another sob story. It seems like she only contacts Guy when she needs something.

I admit, I didn't want anything to do with Nicki after this either... at first. However this does make her character more tragic and sympathetic as her story unfolds. By trying not to take advantage of Guy, it appears as if she's taking advantage of him. After the initial anger cools off, it makes me care for her even more.

I mean it also depends on how rich you are vs their debts too and how many friends and family. Doesn't mean to give them more than they need to live a lifestyle they can't afford. With guys money it certainly possible to do all of that and not go broke assuming they don't got crazy amount of debts. Like luxury expensive houses and cars they clearly can't afford and well above what they can afford. I know I could do that with 1/2 of guys money but I don't got a big family or friend group and I wouldn't spend much on my self

So 13 love interests... and no harem... does the dev imagine we have infinite capacity to replay his game without going mad?
not all of them are main LI id have to go looking for who is considered main and a secondary. Plus pretty sure he said at one point a small harem might be possible but anyways not every game needs to have one either. This game would be worst if it was a harem off the bat imo. Something like that I should be late game if at all.

Quick and dirty walkthrough for "Blue Valentine" to maximize the bv_sspt. Just the list of choices to pick.

"'I'd take you to the beach.'":
"'Only if you want me to.'":
This is actually sub-optimal, since it'll net you 2+2 = 4 points. Pick instead:

"I'd treat you to coffee." [0]
"A local cafe. 'Fig and Branch.'" [+1]
"Give her a tip." [+1]
"Nothing for now. Let's just keep talking.": [+3]

for +5 points total, and a nice bit of sarcastic poetry, giving you bit more insight into Sapphire's persona.

Also, note that asking for one of the dom routes gives additional points.

That's ok. I've never come close to wealthy and probably never will but looking out for your people always comes first. That's how people without wealth survive. I doubt I'd end up poor again, I'm good at math and aced my econ courses at Uni - but given the choice, I'd still stand by my people, even if it meant being poor again. I probably wouldn't be here if some of those people hadn't stood by me at times.

yes, a harem is good for the middle and end of the game. the beginning is more to get to know the history and past of the Li

additional points for what? I'm assuming it always ends the same with that incredibly downer ending and fade out showing how shit her life is?

If the number of points passes certain threshold, Sapphire acts more intimate and willing with the MC. She's also more willing to put up with some gross requests you can make.

On the flipside, getting few points means she will have no qualms about collecting MC's mugshot for whatever purposes these are being collected.

If you're referring to Mason, he was homeless and survived through begging and prostitution at first. Got attacked one time and ended up with a brain injury, which resulted in a severe stammer and cognitive issues, has trouble remembering certain things and headaches (can't recall entirely if his eyesight got messed up because of it) and was given a new job, courtesy of the protagonist (though he was hard to find at first after some nasty hobo took his stuff away from him before they were claimed back, courtesy of a well placed kick in the groin). He also mentioned his father didn't took kindly to his revelation and got him expelled from the house before the protagonist told him to live at his studio. At least that's what I remember.

Not trying to be an ass, but I've been waiting for the next update for a bit, and considering to cliffhanger that we were left at, I got to say I'm disappointed with this mini-sode. I appreciate the work that must have gone into it, but it's doesn't seem part of the current story. (I'm sure it's relevant with the douchbag photography, but still) maybe next time.
