Thanks Neonghosts. I've been an on/off again supporter. Haven't played the update yet, but I haven't felt strung along with updates yet.

Sorry, but I still don't understand what the changes were and why they were made. From the explanation I only understood that they were made nothing more, and there is no direction. Well, it became darker, lighter, maybe the dialogues are more logical? Well, what is the reason for creating a remake, not for the sake of adding several renders?Because I love repeating myself: Chapter 1 was remade in its entirety -- I'd get into the reasons why, but let's just say it's because I wanted to personally hurt people's feelings that were looking forward to Chapter 11, and went through a lot of effort to do so.
The following chapters (2-10) needed to have some code and story beats updated, but I've tried to leave as much untouched as possible. While I'm going through the chapters line by line, I'm adding some renders here and there, and tweaking some dialogue. But we're talking about 100~ renders, for scenes I've already built, lit, etc. and 90% of it is in Chapters 2/3, with 20ish added to Ashe's date scene. As soon as that's done, I'll be re-releasing Chapters 1-10 as Season 1, and Chapter 11 will kick off Season 2.

And the Blue Valentine mini-sode came out in February.. And the Chapter 11 teaser in March.. And now a full chapter in April.. Shit, I'm putting a lot of work into not working.
- Steam Demanded I Change the Content: Truueeeee! As you can see, Friends in Need is already on Steam, but they demanded I strip out any naughty content. So, I'm reworking it as a farming sim. The new title will be Friends with Seed. It still sounds dirty, but it isn't.
- I'm Abandoning the Game: Trrruuuuueee-- *

The story has changed a bit (or at least that's what I've heard, because I haven't played it yet) and from what I know the old saves won't work

Reworks/Reboots makes fans of the game nervous and impatient and start generating a general negativity on the game thread. It can affect developers such as yourself negatively and in a lot of cases is the first step to games becoming abandoned.
I truly appreciate you for still posting on F95. I have seen a lot of developers leave their game thread, due to assholes posters. However, despite your best intentions, it is not unreasonable for posters to become weary of a remake, give the history of a lot of remakes/reboots on f95. Some just have a very nasty way of expressing their frustrations.
In any case, I love your game, since a long time already. The fact that you still post on F95 is really heartwarming. So godspeed and the best of luck with your game!

completely disagree, she's prettier now. She'll look better with some of her tattoos i think, but her face is a little softer. it's a nice change.ok NeonGhosts ... this remake did turn out pretty good .... why the change in Nikki .... i mean the old one was sexier i think ... not that i hate this one ....
anyway you did a good job in this remake kudo's .. i'll stick around for further updates
The changes were aimed to adjust the relationship between the protagonist and his best friend Nicki, in part to address complaints of people who were hating on her and in part because the dev wanted to give the prologue of the game more details.

if i remember correctly the ch1 is not made by current dev, this current dev want to rewrite and made the change so the story connected and made more sense for new story.

Have you played this new version? From the dev comments on the changes while he's been working on it this isn't now how things go. Or at least, the order of events is somewhat different. IIRC you also have option not to have sex altogether, so the "she fucked him and ran off" is down to your own decisions.
