We're still not fully back to where the old version ended, right? Or did the new version go in a different direction? I played the old version but wanted to wait for the rework to be fully caught up before diving back in.
The reworked version changes and fleshes out the prologue, mostly. It didn't yet fully catch up with the original, but it should get there with the next update. In the meantime, you can play it so you have a partially completed play through to continue, when it happens. Or can wait for the next release and play it in one go, if you'd prefer that.

The remake rework is in preparation of a Steam release, which most of the times brings in more funds than the retards 'it will lose', that had more than 2 years to get ready for said remake. I've complained multiple times about cast creep and pacing delaying the plot moving forward, but this decision is not a reason to fear abandonment, quite the opposite, might be the best way to guarantee the game's development.

Seeing so many old accounts that should know better what a successful Steam release does for a game's popularity in our genre is omega cringe. What can you do, clearly their blood isn't going where it should while playing these games...
Haha, that's karma, I never thought I'd live to see you defend a rework.

Just to be clear, I really liked the reworked Ch1 and the new Nicki. But the scene with Nicki and Cass is something I can't wait to see even more. :giggle:

He released numerous new updates while doing the rework. So, what are you on about?

My only gripe was how long it took after it was first announced. 5...maybe 6 new updates since then instead of just getting it done and over with instead.
i was just trying to explain why i think most people have hate for remakes in general. i do think that if you ignore all the remake stuff from the recent updates the amount of new content would have been disappointing, so its not like the remake stuff isnt slowing the progress of the game. overall, i think its a bit early to make harsh judgments about the dev yet, but i can understand peoples concerns, and i do stand by the idea of finish first, remake later.

Absolutely fucking hilarious given 2 of your sig banners....especially the first one   :ROFLMAO:

You're not an airline...just leave.
It’s true, it’s been a while since I changed my banners, for the first banner I need to delete it. But for the other 2, sorry, but the developers are working and not doing a remaster (because I really feel that this remaster will last a long time).

Especially since we see so many remakes never ending (especially on this forum) that we already know pertinently that we will never see the end. 90% of the time, the remake just leaves more time for the developer to not really continue making updates, while continuing to pump money from his donors. It’s almost become a trend here. :cautious:
