Eh, i can agree with that to a point. Never was a fan of remakes, nor will i ever be. Doesn´t matter if it feels "better" or not.
Call me stupid, but SOMETIMES those early versions are even better than a remake. Watching the dev getting better and better each update is what keeps me hooked.


I´m more pissed about having to wait even longer for content of my favorite character that was promised over a year ago. Instead of that happening, you see "spin off", "remake" , bla bla bla. I´m sure you know what i´m talking about.

yeah I agree with that to a degree. Not a fan myself. That being said, I really liked this one. I know I'm being a hypocrite. Still, it was good shit, I liked it a lot and I think it improved a lot on the origins of the story.

we all have our favorite LI's in every game we play. i would much prefer fewer LI's cause the updates would come faster and if you don't like the LI's in the game, you don't play the game. that simple. i have tried many games and hated the LI's and quit before i got invested. more time to play games i like with LI's i like. this one has many LI's and while there are some l like besides Nicki, Nicki is my fav. which is funny cause initially i hated her and played the remove Nicki patch so that she was out of the game. but i liked her in my Nicki path's and she just gets better with time.. for me. i hate her tattoos and i hope the remake changes her story to the point where she doesn't do that dumb shit and gets with Guy sooner. just my preference for the game. and to mr. angry face for my previous post, you play your way i will play mine. and if the dev keeps the story the same going forward, that's fine. but i would like to at some point, actually kick Brent's ass for what he doesn to Nicki. and Guy needs to hit the gym asap. with Nicki there to keep him motivated. this of course is all how i would make this game if i had the abilities to be a dev. but i don't i am a player. i play alot of VN's and this is among my favorites. flaws and all.

I'm not sure that would be possible. Nicki, for as the plot is evolving, needs to be (almost) one of the victims of the rape videos ring.

I haven't played it yet, i'll do it later, but have the content about nicki going to MC asking for money been cut? That's a shame. It was a really good arc IMHO. A rough start for the 2 but very realistic, dramatic and squallid. A great bottom of the barrel from where to lift up.

Outline of events, so kinda spoilers Nicki talks about her money issues with you, but it's before she knows you're rich. Depending how you play it, you can just give her the cash, sleep with her but give her the cash NSA later, have angry sex then give cash, or straight up say "I'll give you the money if you fuck me". It basically gives you a bit more latitude in felshing guy out.

Mr Angry Face here, I just disagree with you wanting Neon to change what Nicky goes through between Ch1 and Ch2.

I personally like that she made some dumb decisions and went through some hardship, that is part of her character development, I also like her tattoos.

it's done like that for a reason dude, you'd understand if you paid attention. He was depressed as shit, pretty much having a midlife crisis. Dunno how old you are so you might not get it, but it happens to people. He eventually gets in shape etc. as explained later in the game. Again, you need to pay attention to the details.

I liked this. its gives you a bit clearer background on Guy with more options to flesh him out while also getting the visuals up to date.

Kinda surprised some folks are flipping on this. I read the the public patreon posts and he's been pretty transparent about wanting doing this. He's talked about it for quite awhile, and I'm seem to recall he shared peoples concerns about devs going into "never ending remake" mode, so he's been clear its just chapter one.

Yes and no. This the Patreon version, so not everything is available out of the box to comply with TOS. You have to drop the taboo content patch in to get everything activated.

Addendum: I went back over everything and straight up assault doesn't look like its included yet, so you may be right that not EVERYTHING is there, but I do think the patch opens some of the low end rough stuff.

He is making changes to code, maybe some additional renders, but he will not rework any more chapters, and yes after he incorporates changes into following chapters, it will be only one file.

Understandable! Shouldn't take too long. 1-6 have the code worked out (it was mainly changing Nicki variables, and tagging some stuff) and now I'm adding a little section that kinda serves to explain what happened after Nicki left, when Guy linked up with his photographer and actress friends, to become the more well-rounded Guy we meet at the beginning of Chapter 2.

For Friends Indeed, no. It’ll still soft-wall stuff like the roleplay scenes with Ashe, that I think may be a bit borderline.

For Friends in Need it opens up a new path and set of scenes near the end.
