how do i complete the quest to find the dog for the boy? I see the dog, but i can't figure out how to reach it.

You get there from the cave, SW corner
However, unless the guy is overleveled, there are dangerous enemies in the way. You could make a run-past-enemies for the map-transition-point, but likely that will only work once you know where exactly that point is.
so, just keep the dog in mind, for later.

Ok, really great game, the art is a sight to behold, but damn it's so grindy on deadly difficulty, I managed to beat the whole game including the final battle with Gail/Gale so now I can move on in life. I leave my save here for anyone seeking a challenge with Gale/Gail on deadly mode. It's save slot 2, save slot 1 is the one with the achievement for successfully beaten him.
Tips for fighting him to anyone who interests though, on this mode he will have 2 phases his old normal version and his younger golden day version, the strategy is probably the same for both phases except that the second one will be a lot tougher to tackle so do pray a lot. Long story short, try to survive as long as possible and chip away his HP, there might be another niche creative strategies though but I can't come up with any.

Then you get Nero's special accessory, that's it. (And Nero's silhouette into the title picture.)
I recommend reloading to before you made Nero your best girl, play on into the no-girl ending (MC's special accessory), then load again and see 3 girl-endings for those girls you want to (mainly) play with in NG+.
Or see all endings that way.
Any girl ending once seen persists, does not get lost from reloading and other-girl ending.
So you can get all special accessories in one run.
does this game have an option to level underleveled heroines like Cuniculus did, even if it's a later unlock? my average level is all sorts of fucked up due to how levelling works in this game.

yes, it does.
Go to Gale/Gail and choose "training", it costs money iirc. and you can train them up to MC's level.

the expedition captain going "lmao no exploring the funk ass temple" and the princess who obviously wants something to do with it going "o ok lemao" and then the game dumping you into a choose your own ending section without explaining what the deal with the grail was while building the later half of the game towards it felt very anticlimatic.

yeah i did imagine rusty was the main story heroine because the game is very unsubtle about it but the other endings being as disconnected as they are is lol lmao
