The story is a long way from being over, since its obviously going to be a big story with loads of beautiful writing and renders, the author is breaking it into parts, for peak efficiency
Not different parts, sequel as in different game.

Not quite. Part 1 of Game of Hearts is finished, now part 2 begins in the style of a sequel with new ideas and with a new name

Did this game really end? If anyone has any information about whether there will be a sequel, please reply. Thank you.

Yeah, it’s more like a continuation of Game of Hearts, just under a new name. You’ll still see some of the original girls from GoH from time to time—especially in the upcoming update—but HoH will introduce a new set of love interests. I see it as season 1 and season 2 because the overall story doesn't change.

Been playing the first few minutes and the writing feels..off, like some bad MTL. Does this get better? I really like the renders and the premise but the reading isn't enjoyable so far

Are you using the patch?
IF YOU DOWNLOADED/USED THE GRAMMAR PATCH PRIOR TO FRIDAY, MARCH 28TH, PLEASE REDOWNLOAD FROM THIS POST OR THE LINK BELOW. THE VERSION ORIGINALLY PROVIDED WAS VERY POORLY PREPARED (MY OWN FAULT) AND WAS MISSING THE MAJORITY OF THE CHANGES I'D MADE.

This was originally posted in October 2024 when I first provided an edited script as an unofficial add-on. With the release of completed Game of Hearts / Season 1, the dev officially included the revised script files as an optional add-on instead of making them native to the default game.

My revisions include a fix for one minor variable bug that affects those on an Attraction path during chapter 3, but otherwise, is entirely dedicated to correcting/tightening up the English dialog throughout. More information is available in the enclosed readme, but I will highlight the following:

The "Grammar Patch" is not required to play this game, but will make for a more enjoyable read for those who care about such things.

To install, simply replace your /game/scripts folder with the entirety of the zip file linked below.

Feedback welcome.

Linked file is complete through the end of the Chapter 5, Part 2 release (March, 2025).

NOTE: This is NOT the same file the dev has linked to on his Patreon. The effort is officially "dev approved", but I maintain it independently, and as any additional changes need to be made, the version linked here is more likely to be the most up-to-date one.

Enjoy!

So. Just finished the game. While at first I wasn't super into it, by the end I was thoroughly hooked. It's kind of vague, but do we know if we'll have Red/Nero still as a protagonist in the sequel? Will Julia be around? I have so many questions after that ending haha

Yes the MC will be same MC for the sequel. House of Hearts will pick up where GoH left off. Some questions will be answers others we’ll have to wait and see. We will see Julia (and other GoH LI) in next update, though not sure how much we’ll see from long term (depending on your choices ofc)

This is the final project update; the next one is the beta release.

For the next working days, I will take time off from my work to polish things up.

The past few days went like a blur, I was in a strange, exhausting, yet, addictive haze. It's like a switch that got flipped that I can't turn off.

Why did that happen? Well...

I'm finally in that place where I am... happy with the result I've made.

I don't feel that way. Ever. This is a first.

At some point during the first episode's development, my style found its form. And it's not a particularly rigid style; I find it easy to match whatever mood it is that I'm trying to convey.

This crystallization, unfortunately, does come at a cost. My most recent renders and my first few renders of the first episode are too jarring in terms of intent and quality. Luckily, there aren't too much to redo, some scenes are completely salvageable.

The worst offenders are older Ruby scenes.

Helena's earlier sections in her shoot are also improved.

Ceryl undergoes a small edit in her model. She's not too different now, but a keen pair of eyes can spot what changed.

Some redundant scenes are cut; replaced with a much, much refined version.

Prolonged scenes without direct player input(generally when the past is being shown) sometimes come in a cinematic, letterbox format. If overdone, it can be a bit annoying because the screen size is almost halved, unsuitable for general gameplay.

But when it is applied correctly, the effects are astounding.

I really want to release the beta by the end of next week. I will do everything I can to make that happen.

I can't promise that it will, however. I don't want to mess the first episode up; it is my only chance to garner a good first impression.

Thank you for your undying support!

Hey but is it just me that finds the "scar" of the MC too gnarly !?
I mean it looks more like an open wound !! Sometimes it puts me off copletely. At least the one of Brie looks more realistic as a scar.
He doesn't look like the average DAZ protag, so that's good enough for me. Can it be "styled" better? maybe. Do I care enough? Not really.
