hi, what codec pack are you using? i tried k-lite mega pack but potplayer just couldn't play the audio.

I'm using the K-Lite Codec Pack with mpv, VLC should also work. The problem is that Opus in an MP4 container is rather new so your player might not support it. You could just try changing the container to MKV using ffmpeg.

Recommend medium preset for x265. Slow can take around 3x longer for marginal <5% savings. Also the bit-depth increase won't change anything unless you applied color filters/gradients in editing. (I know it's mostly efficient in x265 and the preset, just thought to mention it doesn't magically become 10bit color) Good choice of CRF. I wouldn't consider your opus bitrate sane though, most rate aac lc transparent at 192k, opus at 128k, even down to 64k for voice only.
If you do decide to color grade at all, may as well throw on a denoiser like HQDN3D. Would love some sample comparison frames with the post. You can upload to imgsli for slider comparisons.

I used the slow preset because time wasn't really an issue, I encoded all of this to save space on my HDD while keeping that high quality fresh out of blender look. I will take a look at using the medium preset in the future but it comes with other changes that require more tweaking to get right. I choose the 10bit pixel format to eliminate banding and because x265 performs better with 10bit. I know there are some people out there who do like 8bit to 10bit color editing but that is not what I'm going for. As for the audio settings: it kinda doesn't really matter to me, I'm normally an audiophile but I don't care when it comes to audio in porn so I just choose half the bitrate of the original audio.
I sadly can't get you comparison frames because I already yeeted the original files to save space.
Also don't worry about complaining, I know that people in the encoding and video community have strong opinions and are often very toxic but I'm open to improvements.
EDIT:
I went ahead and updated my mega conversion script to extract frames at specific intervals, imgsli looks good but do you know of any non-interactive websites that I can use with an API?

but there could be a lot of different reasons for not liking ir and not necessary racist ones
in the end it's fall into fetish category as any other possible variable and so opinions will vary, it just safer to keep things neutral for wider audience

This guy's animations skills are excellent. I'm white and don't care about the skin color of the guy or the girl. Also, I believe butch said he wouldn't waste time re rendering a scene for alternate angles, for example, because he could put that time into rendering a new animation which is smarter and more efficient.

This, the amount of animators that need half a year to chug out animation because they wanted to do 10+ variations in skin color and clothing is annoying. Yeah variety can be good but a lot of them don't know their limits.

what's neutral though? if you're referring to your previous statement about the skin not matching your own, it would only be neutral to you, not to everybody else. the only real way to make it "neutral" is to make renderings for all skin colors which wouldn't be ideal, or just make it purple

As far as API I think imgur, cloudinary, imgbox all work.
Not sure if this one has an API, but its another interactive comparison (click change instead of slider), I find them useful.
