Can you be more specific about the error the game gives?
Also, have you tried the official release available at

I can't help you with "leaked" releases on this website, only with official ones since I don't know how the former are repacked/compressed/other.

Thanks!

Hold up is this behind cause it says August is the 0.017 version or is the thread not been updated yet ?

Lovely sophisticated game, I thought this was going to be, but ruined in the early stages (the Porter exam on Morning 2) by a) Exception when trying for her hyperlinked medical records and worse b) some totally irrelevant and/or inappropriate question options one of which would need to be asked to make progress. Where is the "none of the above" option which is so desperately needed to avoid incurring black marks through no fault of the player? Several "reply to Erika" pages exhibit a similar fault only to a less serious degree, btw. Game Over for me I'm afraid. :disappointed:

17 is full game that goes an extra 9 months..16.1 ends oct 1st and you are left holding a limp stethoscope...
17 is not the full game just another update like 16 is, we have many more updates before the game is finish.
Here is the road map:

It takes about 1-2 updates before one will show up here, we should get 17 sometime next month.

Let's try to explain, because new people seem to have some difficulties in getting around how things work :)

- The game is pre-released for Patrons each month. I believe my history both here and on other medias shows that I'm not a milking-patrons developer but a serious guy wishing this job to continue with both this game and more in the future.

- As my page says:
Please remember that General Practitioner is an alpha stage development videogame, which improves release after release. Pledging the game doesn't mean you're being sold a final, polished game, but that you support the game's development and hopefully help me to clear bugs from the game. That's what 'alpha' means, even if sometimes it's a wrongly used term.

In return I offer you a quick reply to each bug report, (very) fast fixes and technical support within 24 hours, festivities excepted (but sometimes even during those).

-
Released "official" games are found on Patreon, on , on itch.io and on Indiedb as well. All other releases are "leaked". They are pretty sure of course but I can't guarantee they are working, virus-free. I can't even guarantee they don't have ********** inside their folders, because I DON'T POST THEM.
You can see how I support every community of players, including this one, but of course I won't share patron-only links before due time for respect of people who are actually helping me and my family earn a living by funding the project.

- As the game is an alpha I NEED reports about bugs. If you just play the game and quit it at the first issue WITHOUT telling me about that the game won't improve and bugs will never be solved. The game has about 30 hours of gameplay right now with every different path, it's impossible for me to re-check the whole project each update as I work alone and don't have a staff to assist me. Bugs can be reported here or writing me at bugs[at]brunimultimedia.com, on Discord, Twitter or my website's contact form.

As you can see there's more than a way not only to contact me but to aid me in making a GREAT game. A bug report can't be "when asking someone about something game crashes" as the game has got more than 300.000 lines of coding and I will need some indications about the issue to understand it. :)

Thanks to all of you who are playing the game, even more to those who support it by helping it growing more and more and even to those who share about it.

tl;dr
This post is just to explain, among other things, how I can't help you with "unofficial" releases. Not because I don't care about you but simply because those aren't done by me. :)

But I need to understand the issue first, otherwise I can't help anyone and that's very unfortunate :(

Thanks for taking the trouble to reply. I wasn't really expecting it. I'll happily replay the game on Friday (I'm away tomorrow I'm afraid) and quote specific instances of these problems, including the Exception Error if it happens again. It would be great if you could skim through the script of the early days and rephrase some question/conversation options to something more appropriate. They don't have to be perfect, sure, but not-crass would be wonderful.

Here's my crunched version.

Lossy compression (means image/audio/video quality is reduced to make shit smaller) is used. You've been warned so no bitching.
