I'm not ADHD (OCD, maybe) and I struggle with following it. At least it doesn't fork based on MC choices. I don't think I could even play it if it did. Beautiful renders though, but, if the creator expects players to follow the plot, good luck with that.

It's really not difficult if you pay attention. No alphabet disability required.

I hate to be "that" girl but it is quite easy to follow.

Nothing complicated is going on. While the flashbacks may seem disjointed if you don't pay attention they all still follow a timeline and how certain characters relate to the main girl.

I've used the comparison before but it's very similar to how Lost introduced it's cast. The only difference is the flashbacks aren't broken up by the main story.

Which is annoying because the main story ended on a cliffhanger and i'm still waiting to find out what happened but the dev likes to make . me . cry.

I have to disagree with the story being easy to follow. Normally, I can put down a story and pick it back up weeks and even months later as if no time had passed. But even with a fresh playthrough, I can't follow the story. I don't know what it is about the fantasy names, but for some reason, they don't gel with me. I can't keep straight who is who and what their relationship to each other is. Then, for some reason, a lot of the characters all look alike to me. Yeah, yeah, different hairstyle, different clothes, different names, different name colors when talking. But still, too many of the core characters look like the same blonde elf chick model to me for some reason. I can't explain it. The game seems to spend more time in flashbacks than in the current day on the main plot. And yes, that has completely thrown off my ability to follow the main storyline.

I mean, the introduction to the characters at the start of the game made it seem that the point of the game was the effort to migrate to another planet and ultimately to another star system. However, the MC's main motivation now appears to be revenge stemming from interclan warfare, and this was only fully crystallized at the end of the last update. But now that I've started the story, I want to see how it ends.

Very much seems to be a you problem (and a few others)...not a story problem.

See above. Even easier to understand now we are back in the present. Previously, that may have been a somewhat fair argument, why I spent months telling new people to wait for the update before playing. It really isn't overly difficult to understand at all.

Not really. Only some can leave anyway.

That has pretty much always been the core if you were paying attention to what was actually being said by the different characters throughout the time periods, regarding Celeste's family and mother.

Edit: I think a lot of it (trying to sympathise) is how you brain works. I can imagine all the people on this thread who have issues 'following along' must absolutely hate films like Inception, Jacob's Ladder, Memento etc etc. If you love films/media such as those, then this is not complicated or hard to understand/follow. However, if those types of films melt your brain, then yes, this could be confusing at times if not paying 100% attention.

Just got to the 0.4.5 expansion. I love the overall aesthetic of the game! The environments and characters are all beautifully imagined and rendered. The contrast between the "medieval fantasy" and "cyberpunk" settings works very well. To me, this feels like The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Cyberpunk 2077, Skyrim and Tomb Raider all mixed together.

Yes, the story is quite complex, there are a lot of characters (many of whose names I can't even pronounce), a lot of flashbacks, and it can (and does) get confusing at times. Much like with Game of Thrones, it's easy to lose track of who is who and their relationships to each other, especially since polygamy is such a big part of this game's society.

The author does say, however, that the story is meant to be revealed bit by bit and not all may be clear at the start.

I think what would help is if the game included a reference/glossary for the characters, their relationships and brief backstory - kind of like LotR books.

My personal disappointment with the game is that there isn't that much nudity. The novel to me is more "sexy" than it is "erotic." Which is a real shame because (most) of the women are absolutely fucking stunning, one more gorgeous than the next (with a few exceptions, looking at you Neia and Jtterty). Honestly, some of the most beautiful, sexy and unique looking CG girls I've seen.

There are plenty of butt and panty shots (for which I'm grateful, because who doesn't love those!), but barely any exposed pussy. Which is a huge let down because these "lovelies" have amazingly detailed, breathtaking, to-die-for pussies. So I do wish there was (a lot!) more lesbian sex scenes with all these girls, solo masturbation scenes, more spread legs, more exposed pussy. Considering how horny these girls appear to be all the time, I would expect much more pornographic material. If it doesn't fit within the story, I would have loved to see a section containing vignettes of these girls' sexual encounters and erotic explorations.
