Cleared the main story and have gotten some challenge room collectibles in 12hrs, I think this game could use a guide. Not saying that this is the best advice/tips, but It is what worked for me.
Important aspects of an Expedition:
-The map is not really random. The game is rogue-like, but it isn't totally random. You will realise the map designs are repeated, the same map, will still be the same next time you encounter the map. The map that is loaded when you go to next map is random. I will attach some maps wth the heroine as potential spoilers, so you can prepare ahead. There are a few times, I just come short of capturing the heroine because I was lacking of just one more obstacle-clearing tool.
-Item doesn't carry over. Every item you didn't use will be turn into gold or energy. No carry over. Certain items doesn't get turn into any currency, such as aphrodisiac.
-Stats doesn't carry over. Stat you get during an expedition will also not be carried over to the next.
-Enemy get stronger. As you climb the levels, the enemy will get stronger too, you will require even higher stats to beat them.
-MATK is the most important stats at the start. Higher MATK means you can get more energy from magic stones, get more magics stones, and beat warrior-type enemy easier. I suggest pumping MATK at the first map for each expedition.
-Getting more energy and magic stones are probably the two most important aspects of each expedition. Magic stones are the most common currency for NPC trading and are involved in some obstacle-clearing. Energy keeps up with the demand of the growing enemies' stats, and also increases your level-up your stats as needed in each room.
Recommended Permanent upgrades to focus on:
-Whorehouse is supreme. Gold is the most important currency. Most permanent upgrades are purchasable by gold.
-Each girl is better suitable for a certain type of shop. For example, warrior-type girls give more goblins than energy, so put them into the impregnation shop. Magic-type girls such as shrine Miko, gives more energy than goblins, so put them into the drain shop. Whorehouse want rarer the girl, the rarer she is, the more gold she will generate.
-Get gold, energy, pre-item, upgrades first and foremost. These pre-items will be placed on the preparation area at the start of each expedition, the gold help you to buy magic stone from farires, and energy helps to you level up straight away before even starting the expedition. This will give you a stronger start compared to other pre-items. Afterward, these upgrades are gotten, you can then focus on the obstacle-clearing pre items, such as torch, shovel, pickaxe, and axe. Base stats are good upgrades too, but they are expensive, upgrade them as you deem fit. Key numbers to hit for each base stats upgrade are 1 for int, Mp 5 and 10, Hp 15 and 20, higher base strength, and MAtk are always useful.
Challenge Room:
- Every 10 steps, you will have a ramification point, which you can access an area for the next 5 steps.
- Time and make preparation for your challenge room sufficiently. Make sure your challenge room, which will have 3 steps, the 3rd step doesn't collide with the 10th step, otherwise the game will kick you out of the basement and force you to the ramification point and you will waste all your effort and resources.
-Each challenge room will feature a very specialised challenge, it can be a room completely full of goblins, a room full of fairies, or a room full of traders. depending on your luck, you can go into the 3rd basement and find yourself completely stumped, and wasted the effort and resources you used to get through the first two levels. Thankfully, if you do manage to complete the challenge, you will get a permanent bonus in form of a collectible, or a hero, or a raid upgrade currency. It is quite an underwhelming reward, isn't it...
Conclusion:
Overall, I think the game is pretty good. Quite fun a roguelike game with some sexy girls to go along with it.
The challenge and sometimes ridiculous demand can be frustrating, especially compared to the rewards given at the end.
The permanent upgrades are a huge grind if you dont intend to cheat at all.
