Why don't you just say fuck this game and do another one?
The first game usually goes like that, specially if you are alone doing it, alot of mistakes, learning on the way, realizing how much better things could had been. You have an ideia in mind, a grandiose show, but to put it into the real world tends to be way harder then expected, the clash of expectation against reality is brutal, but now you know how, what, when.
Make a small scope game, a test of sorts, nothing long or grandiose, and even then, it will be hard. A 10 minute story can very well be a masterpiece if well done, and there are a few examples out there (But not porn i guess)
Still, if it was something you liked doing, do it bro. You don't need to dedicate all your time to it, make it as a hobby, slow and steady just for the fun of it. If you are (mostly) putting just your free time on it, do it when you want and that's it, patreon puts pressure on yourself to release in x time, if you start fresh from something else, you can avoid what needs to be avoided and put on steam or itchio, any money you do its a bonus, no pressure and you can work at your own time.
Life is literally that, do what you want and enjoy it as much as you can.
Shit, if i bothered to learn how to model i would be in your position, trying everything all at once and failing, stuck into a ideia that i don't want to let go and feeling that if i did, i would be betraying myself, the people that supported and like the game, a turncoat, another one of those devs that start a game, release 2 updates drops and creates another one
Anyway, good luck in RL.
