Unfortunately as tech unsavvy as I am, I couldn't help you. My method when using regedit is, after using the search function, to brute force my way by opening each folder one by one because I often don't know all the right file names to search for.

Um... Okay, look, I don't actually know that much about tech stuff, but I'm pretty sure that suggesting for someone to "brute force" their way through regedit could cause serious problems. Especially when we have no real reason to believe that the issue originates from not-deleted-enough save data in any way.

The tutorial just fails to show up now unless you're telling me I cannot skip the first tutorial at all and I have to go through all of that dialogue and try again. Gonna try that...

You can skip the intro dialogue, but you need to do the starting tutorial in order for later tutorials to pop up. I tried skipping it and ended up in the same boat as if I had "always skip tutorial" checked.

Eh, maybe I could have said it better. What I meant by brute force is to manually comb through looking for filenames related, because sometimes the spelling isn't always something simple like "goingdeeper".

Definitely don't delete anything you're not certain of.

Did it a couple times for Building our Futature, because some tracked variables were pretty much permanent even after wiping my save data, preventing me from hunting down endings if I made a wrong choice.

But Rosen's probably right: you'd have to be pretty desperate to listen to this advice.

Nope. -_- Even with watching all the tutorials and the game telling me I can now invite the knights into the tent, the game still crashes. Now with forcing the tutorial, the scrolls no longer works either. ;v;

The only way to get farther at this point is to hope I can scry the shrine before the knights can find it and the shrine has to be out of their walking path to be able to get to the next floor.

And remember to read the warnings! That starting up a new version in the middle of a run could cause errors was the one warning on the front page.

You mean opening the scroll menu is making you crash? That would seem to confirm that whatever's going on, it has to do with the game trying to start up a tutorial with a sample screen on it. Although now that begs the question of why my game isn't even attempting to do that with the hypnosis or the shrine, since the scroll tutorial works fine for me.

Have you tried using my meta file yet?

The meta file thing didn't work at least for me. i think the only thing that can be done at this point is just wait for the next update.

It's just weird how only now is continuing the current run with a new update finally caused the game to start malfunctioning for me sense I've been doing it without any issues.

I don't think that's what did it, though. We've identified that there's apparently *something* going on with the tutorials, it's just not clear why it's affected different people differently. It might actually be related to the same thing that caused my antivirus to hate the game... Maybe see if yours has reacted badly to any of the game's behavior. Mine didn't even tell me it was doing anything, the game just mysteriously vanished until I checked the quarantine. Perhaps something about the tutorial popups is being interpreted as pop-up adware...?

Almost certainly not. There are only a handful of places where I've left in a print to the console, and if those were getting hit, more people would be having problems.

My game is attached to my hard drive so it doesn't matter where I'm playing, since the game is connected to it.

So c0000005 is a invalid memory error. The game tries to read or write to a place that it has no rights to. Most of the time this happens when the game logic expects something to have a value, but in actuality there was nothing there to begin with.

As the user you can't do anything about it. For the developer get a (better) static analyzer for your code. Most of the time it catches these things.

It's a central theme. "Going Deeper" is a reference to a common phrase used in hypnotic inductions. The player character has the ability to hypnotize the three knights that he/she is watching over, supposedly to help them fight off the effects of the corrupting curse affecting them, but you can also abuse your power to influence them for your own benefit. There are also lots of enemies in the dungeon that use some form of hypnosis in their attacks.

Well now I feel like I should be tracking even more stats for nerds (me).

At least it's more useful than the usual porn game stats like "Times cum in ear" or "Number of dirty sanchezes".

And is this our first time seeing NRFB's Inquisitor? Does this mean we won't get a white character? There are only so many distinct colors to associate with the characters, and we've got at least one more color-coded girl to go. Black, white, grey... Brown? Orange? My money's on the third knight being somewhere in the black/white range, perhaps named Grace for "greyscale".

Is that Raine dressed for a fancy ball? Why? How? Is it just a brief event encounter with some monster, like Lady Ambrelin arbitrarily dressing her up in one of her "attacks"? Or perhaps some sort of sustained ailment where a knight is turned into her "minion"? Or perhaps defeating her lets you loot her stash of noblewoman outfits which unlocks some dressup-related events back at camp? Will we get to see other knights dress up? Will we get to see Lady Lucette? Wait, is this actually one of Lucette's outfits from her not-so-secret high class upbringing?

More importantly, will we get to hypnotize her while she's dressed like this? Will we get to use hypnosis to make her dress like this? Ooh, is this whole thing actually just hypnotic roleplay from the plotline where we've convinced her to let us "turn her brain off"? Has she been hypnotized into thinking that instead of a knight with an important mission, she's actually a pampered princess? Will Elli walk in on us, realize what's going on, and insert herself into the roleplay to mess around with Princess Raine?

Big mental health crash. Have been feeling exceedingly tired all day every day, reducing me to a non-productive/functional human being. Writing is very difficult but it is really the only thing that actually needs to get done. I am alive, but have nothing to show. Appointment was not conclusive of anything, but meds are being adjusted. It's very difficult but I will probably end up figuring out some way to tough things out eventually.

Dang. Maybe look into whether you might have sleep apnea. That's been murder on me, and unfortunately I have other issues preventing me from using a CPAP machine, but people who were able to use one tell me it's been life-changing. Apparently 1 in 8 Americans have sleep apnea, but only 1 in 5 of those are diagnosed.

Also, obligatory "Have you tried drinking more water?" It may be a meme, but it's the health equivalent of "Are you sure your computer is plugged in?"
