For instance, it was necessary for Jane to lose badly against Farida so she could rise and take things more seriously for a rematch, but had she lost to Carmen then those two would be having their own revenge match instead and then Jane's story would need to be changed to accomodate that.
This means more time writting dialogues, narrative, making renders and coding which would take a lot of extra time.
It is easier for a lone dev to write branching choices in events like that yatch party, where no matter who Jane choose to sleep with the starting and ending point would be the same.
