That means, narratively speaking, BGAshley would have had a slutty side, but even for a full blown BGAshley, it was at most a "naughty streak" in the past, and the current, rapid descent into full blown degeneracy and corruption that BGAsh finds herself in, would be a new thing either way.

I figured it exactly because of Ashley's thoughts and actions. Early beginning, and she already fascinated by Jack. Where did you really see that she madly in love with Eric? I think nowhere. Introduction in the beginning was her thoughts about herself, but not who she really is deep down. She's trying to be good girl, but deep down she is bad. Jack and others just push her a little in bad route, push her towards instincts. And in good route she continue trying to be good girl, and be good to other characters, including Eric. Like someone said here. But she doesn't really love him anyway, she's not really wants to be good overall. It's like she's wearing a mask, not being true self. Other characters can't see that, not Eva, not anyone. Ashley just become free in bad route, without even really realising it herself. And she's not telling anyone about all that. It's just my opinion, but it does seem right to me. Yes, i agree with you that Eva Kiss could include more scenes with drama and stuff like that. But i can assume that it was kinda intentional. Myself, i'm satisfied as it is.

So, on the danger of possibly completely derailing this thread with this question, from the perspective of a guy who knew the reverse situation IRL, how did you feel about Eric going overseas?

This happens to couples irl all the time, one of them have to go miles away for business or whatever, sometimes that means being several months without seeing each other. So of course cheats gonna happen, It's a kind of stress test for couples.
In GGGB the dude wants to go away for 6 months, that's not that much, having internet to stay in contact, staying loyal or cheating is up to the player.
I must say the open relationship path seems an interesting turn of events in this situation.

I think this path is dead end anyway. I don't think they survive on this path for 6 months. Even for few weeks. It may be not a long time for real world, but it's crucial for game. Like someone here said, they can become strangers pretty fast. Even if you try to stay faithful to him, he's probably would do opposite. I have this feeling. And i honestly don't really know why Ashley even need that path anyway, without actually cheating on him and sending pics. Open relationship path seems kinda fun, but actually completely saint path and patiently waiting for him? No.

The father has indeed been lazying out on the cough given that is not positive however I can tell you from minor experience I personally have encounter and have seen it around me too.
The man lost his job a while ago from what I gathered in the story, the wife has a good paying job, the father is also not young anymore so getting a job and depending on how big or small your town is finding a job might not be as easy as it seems,

As for Eric, sorry to say but he is a dumb ass, I respect he wants to help people in dangerous countries that require and could use the help but from how he explained things it sounded more like he wanted to go there to experience new things as his current life looked dull even though he loves his gf. He gives her space and he trusts her sure that is a good thing and before all the bs started in her life it seems she was faithful to the core, however with everything happening around her the one person that could be there to give her moral support and should be there in her time of need just decides to fuck off somewhere, while his ideals and morals towards other people are something to applaud and support his total lack of awareness on his relationship and how it affects it is just retarded. That is just my opinion though.

It switches up a bit but either you cheat or your friend turns in too a slut but try but there are plenty of routes choices, the first is either she or you or both and from there on out is up to you how you handle. No matter though as this is one of the very few good VN out there with good branching amongst other things.

There is a ton of different routes\paths. I mean characters, you can choose who you want, and how you want to act towards them. Yes, corruption goes into few ways, but characters and their stories is what this game is about.

I agree with you, and i'm kinda sympathize with father (it's not like anyone in game do that, sadly or not). But i just don't want anything to do with father anyway, sexual or not. Just can't.
