It's really hard for me to judge. It was a long time ago and I kind of don't want to play it again until it's "mostly done" so i don't get burned and lose interest before it is really good.

I dunno how close we are to almost done, but IMO this game has already hit the "really good" mark. The game has solid writing, plenty of branches for replayability, a boat-load of existing content and a dev that more-or-less consistently pushes out a reasonable amount of content every month.

The only knock I'd give it is that it remains pretty vanilla, with incest being pretty much the only fetish in the game.

That's a bit tough. Personally I'd like to see some piss stuff in there, I'd like Ash to lean in more with Jasmine to see more of that content, and gang-bangs, but I'm pretty sure that's coming pretty soon.

Also, I'd be up for some besti content, although, I recognize that this game is a little more grounded in reality, so a lot of stuff wouldn't fit. I also recognize that EK is most likely creating content that piques her personally, and I'd much rather her make the game she wants to make than cater to random requests from her audience.

I don't think the art is that great either. It is traced over real porn and often looks odd and unreal. It's not bad, but not fantastic. 6/10

I have saw this complain several times here and on other boards, but so far there is no other game with a "traced" art style as good as the one in GGGB.
Then you have monthly updates with several sex scenes since ver 0.1, plus branching paths like no other game out there.
All things considered GGGB is a pretty good game imo.

When people praise good writing, imo they're praising its multiple branching paths. This game features far more consequences and narrative paths than most choice-based VNs.

Also I think the game does do a fairly good job of rationalizing the corruption better than most corruption games. Ash has a number of external stressors (parents divorce, school scholarship runs out, boyfriend goes overseas) which is a perfect recipe for drug use, in addition to a somewhat subconscious desire to be included in the cool clique of Jess and Jack, and the first time she does coke is really when her downfall is cemented. THIS GAME IS SECRETLY A "DON'T DO DRUGS AD CAMPAIGN!!! Jk jk lol

When people say it's well written, they compare it to other porn games out there. Writing is a skill and most people just don't have it. On top of that, most games are created by people who's first language isn't english and who's skills are more in computers than language. So, yes, it's not great but its at least readable. Its pretty much the only game I've played that doesn't make me smash the space bar maniacally.
As for 'realistic', well its a story and storys are about unusual things happening otherwise they would be boring. So the argument that such things happens rarely doesn't count. I'd say that the single storylines in GGGB are believable (Yes, even A&I. The least believable storyline is imo Jasmin) It's unrealistic that all this is happening at the same time but it's a game, you need a lot of content. Also you don't have to do everything in parallel, imo the games real strength is that you are not supposed to find the 'best' path but try around and mix a few storylines together and see how that goes.
Also for me a big part of 'realistic' is that the women in the game look, well, like women and not like some fantasy creature sprung from the artists mind. (general rule: if a single breast is bigger than her head and it doesn't sag, its not a breast)

So yeah, i'm agree with you bro.. it's just a game

It seems like the only factor the mods take into account for a game to be considered "popular" is the number of views and comments the thread has. Nothing to with the actual quality of the game or the reviews.
Just some dumb numbers, what gets talked about the most, even is the replies are just people asking for a link or not adding anything interesting to the discussion. I guess that if we started shitposting and spamming ht thread it would get to the popular section, who knows...

Oh well. If GGGB isn't yet "popular", at least it's close enough. In number of reviews (87), GGGB beats all other popular games except Milfy city (101). The closer ones to GGGB, at the moment, are Dreams of Desire (84) and Dating my Daughter (81).
In number of messages, GGGB only beats one of the popular games, at the moment, Dreaming of Dana, both having more than 6000 replies, but GGGB has about 200 more.
In number of views, GGGB has close to 3M views (2.7M), currently the third non-popular game with more views, after Teacher's Pets (4M) and My Cute Roommate (3.2M). I can't find how many views the popular games have, though.
Anyway, for the second game with more reviews (that I know of), with 87 atm, it's trully remarkable to retain a rating of 4.8 stars, and must be deserving of some consideration, imho.

Btw, it has come to my attention that many devs are having problems with patreon because of incest material present in their games. Many of the popular games' plots revolve around such stories, where the MC pursues incestuous relations with his/her relatives, just like Big Brother, which was abandoned. And even if GGGB doesn't revolve around it, it still has some branches that involve this subject. So, I must question myself, will GGGB be alright in the future?

For I don't know how p4treon screens the games, some said that if the games' single purpose is for example incestious relationships it is a candidate for removal. If incestious scenes are a little part of the game only there is no problem. But this was stated by users and I don't know p4treons offical guidelines. But I cannot remember EvaKiss' website ever blocked because under review and as a very popular game I think it would be a top candidate for reviewing. So I see no danger, too.
