There is no 'stable' release. The preview, alpha, beta always include the last release-Version. The alpha/beta refers only to the new episode. There might even some bugs fixed that were still in the last release.
So if you want to play the last release, just download the alpha and play until you get the 'alpha content' message.

In the first part, to prevent Eric from dying you need to turn him into a cuck. The only two things you need to do is pick Open Relationship when he leaves and then, when having cybersex.pick a red option.

Ashley's father hasn't died in any of the routes I'm playing and all I've needed to do is have Ashley be basically nice to the old man.

Also note, there are some playthroughs where Eric rejects the Open relationship and still dies. So, asking for the open relationship is not a guarantee he'll accept it. It depends on how close you are to him when you ask for it. If you've distanced yourself from him prior to asking for the open relationship, he will not accept it.

Hmm, I did ask for open relationship but eventually broke it off with him. I guess that's where I went wrong.

And I'm not even sure what I did wrong with dad, I was nice to him on my Good path and he still died. He ignored mom when we saw her at the restaurant. I thought he'd become an improved better man, but he still stayed at home and I still had to move out. Then he died. Urgh.
