Tbh, theres a really large number of endings you can get. Check out the scene guide for details since there's various different endings for different characters too.

Strange, I chose all the nice options and didnt get into a relationship with him and he still ended up a bum

I think Ashley's dialogue options with her dad also depends on her good/bad points. You don't exactly have to be a saint to help him, but if you're on a playthrough with mostly bad choices you only get the red and neutral dialogue options with him instead of the blue and neutral.
Ashley's relationship with her mum – if she decides to live with her and the stepdad – might also be a variable, but I'm not sure.

Be nice blue options and avoid entanglement with mom and Arthur. This is the direct route. the great thing about this game is that even one choice can change the outcome. lots of replayablity

Do you imagine if there is a version of this game with better graphics (like a wife and a mother or anne exciting affection) and animations? Because the story is the best a I’ve ever played.

Eva really tries to improve upon the art aspects quite a lot and there are several development posts regarding that subject. She even went so far as hiring a professional studio to do several of the art assets found in the new game despite the costs due in part to the success of GGGB.
As the others eluded to, you need to be a "good girl", and encourage and help him. Have fun exploring that path!

"Better Graphics"? I prefer 2D than a souless, generic DAZ thing, frankly.
I also like too much the actual version. The art is very good. But I think it would be great to see the same game from another perspective.
