pls, How do i enter on dad's path? I already play and replay the game a plenty of times and i never get it right
Here ya go:

Sure, was not difficult compared to some stuff I did before in this game (bimbo ash dad route still the one I'm most proud of since it is even glitchy since missing some art for certain scenes)

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
At that point you are in the Dad route and you have 25 Good Points so you should be able to keep it going without any problems, I don't think there are any other mandatory losses of good points, but you can most likely make up for them by picking nice options during interviews if you keep the fame route going.
From my own experimentation, you only need to attend Jess's party in the beginning to get enough points for Pure Dad route, so other parties aren't necessary. You can experiment yourself if you want.

1. Avoid Arthur.
2. Choose good path with dad and support & be nice to him whenever possible.
3. Play good path as much as possible. You need 20GP to enter dad path & 25GP to get the full dad path.
4. You should get an option to watch incest porn. this indicates you are on dad path.
5. You can confirm dad path if Ash goes on dinner with him.

Ash can sleep sleep around and even commit to a relationship but if you are on dad path you will get an option to dump your LI and commit to dad. Also Ash can be a bad girl with tatoos etc. Just need to avoid commited relationships then.

Should I download the normal 1 or the upscaled version? Got a 1440p monitor.
Playing on a 4k Monitor I switched to the upscaled version and the renders are much sharper, so I would recommend it. Be aware though, that the version gets rid off the white text box and the text is just placed on the render, which can make it somewhat harder to read.

I really liked this game. My Ashley ended up as pornstar. Is the other dev's game, our red string, on the same level?
No. In ors there is no such trash and frenzy as in gggb. The new game is a regular soap opera. If you like the slow development of the plot and the repetition of the same thing from chapter to chapter, then feel free to play. Personally, after gggb, new game seemed boring and uninteresting to me. Only good thing in ors it is the art. Everything else sucks.
imho

Its different game. In terms of art, scope and ambition its actually bigger than GGGB. After playing GGGB it may seem a bit slow but I think its best to trust the dev to pull it off. Definitely one of the better FMC games out there. There is a reason GGGB is so highly rated and still popular but I think you can't compare both games as both are different.

It feels ORS frequently gets compared to GGGB unfairly because many are comparing a completed game that has had extensive reworks to smooth out many of it's rougher patches to a game that is still in development. That kind of comparison is not fair to ORS.

I don't think GGGB had any rework done. I could be wrong. But I agree the comparison is unfair due to both being different types of games from a standpoint of presentation and scope.

Nonsense. i follow gggb from 12 version. There were no major game-changing changes togame. The most I remember is how, at a late stage of development introduced a scene with Natasha and Jack on the beach.

what scope are we talking about at all, if ors is marking time from chapter to chapter and only occasionally squeezes drops of plot advancement out of itself. Any possibility of scaling plot in game was abandoned a few chapters ago. we can only hope for a dlc that will add these covered storylines, which i doubt will come out.

However, there are some differences - gggb is a big sandbox and this her plus, and ors is a typical visual novel and this is a step back for a developer like EK.

Scope means the ambition to try something bigger. I don't think its worked out and I agree changes make it so/so but i will give EK the benefit of the doubt for now.

By the way GGGB is a VN not as sandbox and it is also the simplest and most direct VN. Compared to that ORS is bigger in ambition and different. I really hope it works out.

About sandbox was a figurative expression. What i meant was that gggb was richer in interesting and varied content, unlike ors (funny, but content updates gggb was less than in upds ors), where sex scenes with same partners are repeated for 10 chapters in a row, when game is full of unused characters. Although this applies only to the half with Lena, because Ian is good with variety.

I suppose if EK made one instead of two main characters, then the game would definitely become better than gggb. But we have what we have, namely fact that developer has to break content into two characters and this is a huge minus for game.

Uh, I tried Our Red Strings after reading this and I liked it so far, though not as much as gggb. But I have to admit that I don't like games with multiple protagonists, and I skipped most of Eric's story.
