100% agree that there is some truth in that.I once read "Artificial Intelligence isn't just a misnomer, it's a prestidigitation trick. While we are looking at the flashy results, the other hand(s) are moving the scenes." I feel that there's a bit of truth in that.
But I would argue that it's not a misnomer.
At least not when we look at the example given here & take "artificial" as "false".
It's most certainly "false" intelligence.
But, without the onset of "self-learning" (which is when they can exceed human intelligence & become fucking scary!), AI is only as smart as the person who created it &, as we know, we're living in Idiocracy.
"Common sense", the world's biggest oxymoron. Least "common" thing on the planet.
