That's kind of the point. You're supposed to be confused at that part. It's made clear why it's disorienting literally in the very next scene.
One question, could it be that there won't be any sex scenes of the main characters in this update?

There's a lot that is encouraging with this game... but I think I'll check back in after a few more updates. For now, even the content already included seems a bit unfinished.

I am intrigued.
Pros:
- really good looking girls
- dialogue/writing seem to be good at this point
- the twist with MC in latest update makes me really interested in keeping an eye on it
- good track selection

Does the Space Invaders minigame matter? It is ridiculously meh and tedious.

I share the hate to mini-games.
If the dev is reading us, I'd like to reassure him that the game is good enough on its own merits, and it doesn't need to copy the worst parts of BaDIK and similar VNs, such as said mini games, excessive free-roam sections, etc.
These events break the flow of the story, and also discourage any replaying of the game on different routes.
More scenes, more story, more choices, more sexy times... That's all most players look for in an adult game.

GTU started as a hobby that I worked on in my free time. However, with a recent surge in patrons, I now have the opportunity to leave my current job and dedicate myself fully to the game (as I announced on Patreon, this will start in January).
This means a lot of exciting changes are coming: the amount of content will increase significantly, and animations, which used to take up a lot of my time, will be making a comeback. Previously, I often had to choose between animating scenes or advancing the story, but now I can do both.
Some updates on the game itself: Monica (the blonde from the nightclub) won’t be appearing just yet, but Maria (the woman from the prologue) will be returning. Starting in January, I’m committing to monthly updates, which means the story will progress much faster. I’ve also hired a new designer and am currently training them to help with production.
If the game felt light on content at times, it was due to my limited availability, but that phase is now behind us. I invite you to become a member on Patreon, where I’m posting updates every two days. Thank you for playing GTU, and as always, I’m here to listen to your suggestions.

haha in invite you to be a member of patreon. I think you are really going to have to prove yourself first. It's easy to say what your going to do, but doing it is another thing. The space invaders mini-game includes a reward for patrons...how about you make it so this mini-game or any other mini-games you plan to add are completely avoidable, with a toggle on / off button. Most people hate mini-games, because they detract/ take away from the story and add nothing. As for rewarding patrons, I am sure you can come up with something far better than some lame and pointless mini-game.Please, guys, don’t throw me under the bus.

The space invaders game is completely optional. It's not necessary to progress the story at all... at least as of this version.
The beer pong game does have an option to opt out of it if you don't want to play it, but it's at the very end of the episode so it remains to be seen how much Anna/Vanessa content we might miss in the next update if we don't play. However WINNING the beer pong game doesn't seem to be necessary for Anna to lose her panties as she loses them whether you beat her or not, so you can literally throw the beer pong game if you don't want to bother with it.
I agree though, I'm not a fan of mini-games either especially precision ones since I have terrible coordination. If there ends up being any content that's contingent on actually winning the beer pong game, then I think there should be an "auto-win" option for those of us who want to skip the game and still see the tiddy.

That's why there aren't other mini-games in the game. The only mini-game that needs to be played is the beer pong one; the others just offer extra content that, for now, won’t directly impact the story.
As for the invitation to become a patron… it’s because I post updates about the game there frequently, and many of the questions people ask here have already been answered on Patreon.
