Well, Az said he was written like that for a reason. Maybe he eventually gets his grammar and sentence structure together? I mean, there is a time or two when he can talk rather well (to Miss Maid is one example) so maybe in the end, he'll get better at it..? Yeah he's a punk, thug-wannabee but if he wants to have any serious chance with Emily, he's going to have to tone certain things down, rather than acting how he is.

Because of the bonus scene things he was doing, but yeah, it does feel like a long while now. I hope soon, I want to see the next steps in my adorable Emily's LOVE route.

Episode 8 was released at the end of March, so that's just over 3 1/2 months, that's not unusual at all. A lot of games take a lot longer and the dev said this will be the biggest update yet
i dunno how 2021-02-24 is end of march for you but ok...

Yeah, I was looking for the release date for everyone, my point still stands.
on what planet your point stands so instead of 3 and half months what you said there are actually 4 and a half
It seems that the dev is still busy working on the game ... from their Patron site quote:

So yeah... not ETA as of now. As always, anyone who feels that the long development time is unacceptable, please drop your pledge for now and come back when the update finally drops. For those that decide to stay no matter what, I'm super grateful.

soooo, end of the year update?
two months ago it was at 50% done, which was quite fast considering he has started working on it in late March or so (due to his "bonus projects"), yet after two more months we are still at "a lot of work to do" (around 60-65% done, id say).

while he was quiet for ages, or almost 5 months, he still collected 15.000+$ for his "activity"...
i simply can't understand patrons of such devs, but kudos to dev

He's not quiet though. He releases progress updates in the form of new renders every week; he released the bonus episode that contains a story and 150 renders, too. I'm not really a fan of his business model or development speed, but he isn't just sitting on it, and communicates well with with his patrons.

He really should ask his patrons if those bonus episodes are worth the effort, I'm quite positive the vast majority would prefer that time to go in the development of the actual game.

i quoted him on being quiet.
all other activities than real game progress are irrelevant and we are comming to 2, max 3 updates per year. such way he can extend completing game in period of 3-5 years.
however this dev is not (big) problem - i've been following him from the beginning. it is business model. i can see pattern (including here). devs start with regular updates and when patrons money starts pouring they are pushing updates further and further and extends life spawn of the game to earn more money. so this (i mean in global) siezed to be patroning and turned to be subscription - monthly recurring billing where you don't know when (or will you at all) get new content. all you get are posts, polls, arts, unverified problems, apologies... imagine any other subscription site (porn, netflix, media...) having this policy. how long subscribers would stay on it?
in the end patron system become beneficial to everyone except patrons.
Don't understand all the discussion here: if it takes you too long, quit your Patron until the next game release. I'll do it that way with another game that also has very long update cycles. Even Az himself has made this suggestion as well. And strangely enough, it's always only those who grumble who don't pledge anyway. And he definitely wasn't "quiet", he's really active on his discord. And it seems his patrons are happy with the way he's doing it. And saying " all other activities than real game progress are irrelevant " is not right: he probably has offered his higher tiers something, because otherwise why should someone pledge more money for nothing in return?

The other small projects and bonus renders are very relevant if his patrons are happy with them since they are the people funding this project. Az has been on the slow side as far as game developing goes since the start of this project, even before HH blew up on Patreon. I doubt his MO will change. It's not that uncommon anymore either, it seems like more and more devs are releasing updates only 2 to 4 times per year.
