There is also no player skill factor so you can't make up for bad RNG by playing well.
I hate to be the one to say this, but 'Skill Issue'.

Sure, there are some runs that are lemons, that's part of the design philosophy of Rogue Likes. But to say there's no player skill factor just means that you haven't fully understood the game's systems. Strategy makes a huge difference in how well you do in any individual run.

I kinda half agree? RNGesus can still screw you over massively, and I definitely don't agree with that even if it's a core of "roguelikes" as opposed to "Roguelites".

On the other hand, it definitely used to be worse, and skill absolutely has SOMETHING to do here. You can turn a mediocre run into a good one or survive a run with a lot of bad luck.

The model and animation quality is superb and among the best I've ever seen in a 3D H-game.

Unfortunately, the gameplay just feels so imbalanced. The loot distribution is disgusting and you can go several floors or pretty much an entire run without encountering a single weapon or any healing (At that point you just run from everything until you inevitably get cornered and die). There is also no player skill factor so you can't make up for bad RNG by playing well.

You need a bunch of STR to get full returns out of weapons but STR upgrades are near non-existent so even if you do roll good gear it ends up being very weak anyway lol. Other upgrades are also extremely rare so on most runs you'll end up with basically no build by Zone 3-4 even if you scour every inch of every floor. What makes rougelikes fun is working with the random stuff you get, but there isn't much fun to be had when the loot is 90% useless trash that doesn't actually help you in any way. Significant rebalancing is required.
Stop equipping swords that require way more strength than you have.
Keep 2 or 3 swords in inventory to throw at the enemies, you would be amazed at how much damage you can deal with a thrown steel sword, instead of equipping a steel sword when you have 5 STR. If the weapon is Blessed, it will return to you after throwing it, so you can throw it again.

You can throw the aphrodisiac potion on a group of enemies and they will start fighting each other. Use the charm wand when you are fighting multiple enemies or charm a monster and then go pick up all the swords you already threw at them and throw them again.
Use the fire wand on an enemy and then run from them, they will keep burning.
If you find a wand of empowerment, use it on a mirror. It will boost your str by 1 each time you use it.

There are going to be rounds that just suck. The RNG in this game is just bonkers and it can give you everything or practically nothing. Just shrug off those piss poor RNG rounds and start a new one.

Just wanted to say, I started following and playing this game around 0.2. And I didn't realize there was a save feature until they added hardcore mode this past update. I'd just been playing hardcore as the default.

And something I would like to see, probably a bit later down the line, is different playable characters outside of visual customization. Granted, my original thought had the new characters just being cosmetic, but then I realized they could have different stats or start with items à la Binding of Isaac, or other rogue lites I've not and won't play.

All of this is to say that as attractive as the player character is (with the goth hair cut and different clothes) I am bound by my hubris and would love to play a furry girl. Wolfman and minotaur also rule out anyone saying that it's not a furry game, it even has the tag.

this is a pretty great game my favorite is the minotaur, I think the werewolf should stay stuck inside and the scene fade to black. I want to buy this when it full releases.

Perhaps a Furry TF― or any TF, really― is a possibility down the line.

Admittedly I was terrified fighting

I don't think the different character option will be granted moving forward BUT it would be very cool.

EDIT: Seems earlier in the day someone asked about different player models. Here.

I read that you can remove clothing to stun a monster for a turn or so. But now with the new update, I don't think you can remove clothing anymore, so is that mechanic gone before I even got to try it out, or am I missing something?

That was v0.3 Early Access 1, we're on EA 2

Just made a mega folder with several of the win & linux versions of v0.3 EA.

Unfortunately I do not have a linux ver of EA 2 (before the first hotfix), as I never downloaded that one to begin with and the link is gone.
The earliest linux build of EA 2 that is publicly available is hotfix 2 (the hotfix 1 links are not available, sorry).

Edit: For anyone wondering, EA 3 expected by the 20th (next Friday). EA 3 out.

Edit 2: Just realising I didn't really answer the question directly. Floppy discontinued the charm functionality of stripping and removed the strip mechanic altogether.
If you want to change your mode of dress moving forward you'll have to do so at a mirror. This offers no stat buff or charm.

Edit3: We may be soon expecting a hotfix to EA 3, as several users (including myself) have reported a few bugs that the dev has acknowledged.

Thank you so much for the reply. Man, that's such a shame it was removed. It seemed like a really cool mechanic, and given how difficult this game is, it seems like a massive nerf. Removing a gameplay mechanic seems weird to me, especially one that is so unique. I hope it comes back rather than being ditched for ever.

I didn't realize blessed weapons returned when thrown. That's very interesting.

What I really want is more sandwiches, or different foods. Saturation maybe? Something to keep my chick from starving while I mercilessly scour each level clean seeking infinite loot.

There is (maybe) potential for this, kind of. Floppy stated through a couple posts that, mainly, it was removed because of complications with the reworked clothing system. The hope is to continue working on the clothes and then figure out how to reintroduce it in a way where popping a titty doesn't guarantee a stun, but still does...something.

I'm paraphrasing obviously but here's a couple SC to parse if you'd prefer the horse's mouth.

Honestly I think this is possible, just wouldn't be til after everything from the base game is done. If he adds new characters he would have to make new scenes for each one under the same mechanics as the main girl (or spice it up and have each one be unique). I don't think he would try and fit each character model into the same animations as the main girl, that sounds like more work than just making a new scene entirely tbh

A ring of calories helps a lot, although you probably already know that

I hope there's more ways to gain permanent stat upgrades. It seems that everyone is kinda forced to throw swords only because we can never equip the better swords. I know there's potions, but we're once again leaving it to RNGesus. Maybe have a Merchant in between floors where you could get a choice of items. Could also sell things we don't need like a spare shield.
