I downloaded the game thinking there would be a sequel... wow... how sad. The other previous scenes don't appear... what a crazy update, nothing to do with it, how rude.

I stopped playing before the remake because the game was becoming unbearable at that point. The remake is better (though some AI CG filter can be a bit distracting), but I really wish the storytelling is a bit more coherent. The way the story is presented is a bit distracting when we jump from this to that and seemingly with a lot of incomplete information.

For example, we were nicely building relationship with Antonella and suddenly CUT! BOOM! She's pregnant, but we only found out because there's a scene of the dad kicking out MC. Of course the dad didn't even exist in the game before that at all. There's no sense of us knowing what kind of character the dad is.

This is a trend in the game because it happened over and over again. Amber's introduction where she's suddenly angry at MC hugging Antonella and claimed that she's MC's girlfriend out of nowhere. Madison's introduction where the only thing we saw previously was mom's pregnant belly which means there's zero context as to why she's behaving the way she behaved when we met her.

Feels like just an okay game now which is quite a shame because I thought the premise and characters are quite interesting but massively let down by the chosen style of the storytelling.

There's a difference between wanting to convey a story and being able to convey it effectively. Ability and skill don’t always align perfectly, but when they do, the result can be great. You’re absolutely right that there’s a lot of incoherence in how this story unfolds. The developer/writer is clearly trying to showcase a skillset they haven’t fully mastered yet, and the result feels uneven.

The delivery is a big part of the issue. Telling the story in smaller chunks can work, but here it just makes the cliffhangers feel rushed and forced. As someone who didn’t play the original version and is only familiar with the remake, even without that comparison, I can see the gaps.

It skips over so much in favour of saying, 'Just wait, we’ll get there,' but that approach only works when the build-up has earned it.

That said, the game still has potential. The premise is solid, even if it’s familiar, and there’s room to turn it into something memorable. The execution is what holds it back. If the writer refines their approach and focuses on better transitions, clearer context, and more natural pacing, the story could genuinely shine. It’s not a bad concept—it just needs more polish to become something truly engaging.

One question... this prostitution tag, who would be the whore? His daughter?
I think it may be one of the other characters, not his daughter. Probably the only one I'd rule out by default.

Excuse me but what the fuck is this update?

In order to get the scene with Amber I had to go all the way with Nanami and it was through one obscure choice (do everything you can with Nanami but take her to Madison's room). If you refuse to drink beer with Nanami you instead get the Isabella scene or if you drink with her and then don't wake her up when she falls asleep in your room you get the Elizabeth scene.

Your ability to see the scene with the girl you like is entirely dependant on what you do with Nanami. They are trying really hard to sell that walkthrough.
there`s also the maddison scene that you get if you don`t take nanami to maddison`s room (let her go alone)

There's also the case of "The others". People claim they're there to help the Dev but ends up hurting the Devs creative process long term. One of the legit critiques of the game has always been the story, that alone should've been the focus moving forward not the art.

My first move, had I been trying to improve my story from the ground up is to surround myself with people who actually have experience in the writing department. But again, people with their own agendas and "ideas" tend to ruin things.

The art for me has always been the crème de la crème of Hard To Love. So I don't get the need to ruck up something that didn't need improvement in the first place especially with weak Ai.

Another one bites the dust.

What you said is a true "threat". Contempt for objectivity and reason.
When a person slanders and attacks the developer and game in a "free" forum, someone will take care of it.
When violent people gather in groups, administrators will silence the voices of reason and justice.
Very much like liberal DEI is being used by thugs to blackmail games.
what threat did i make?
