I'm currently stuck trying to finish Zombie quest. I can't get to the boss fight in the tomb. Keep getting dead-ends, and I've mapped out where I've been. The clues in the wikia fandom page don't make sense (east-south-east-east-south). I I've already gotten all the treasure chests.

Man, this game's deader than the deadest dead. I read through the change-log, since the last time I played (little more than a year) they added 7 and a half quests, plus one new character with little to no content. That's it. Lot of unnecessary shit like "redone artwork" and "furniture system" like that matters.

7.5 quests, for ~30 characters, 4 major and 4 minor locations and for a main story that's been stalled since over a year, all of which needs attention. But at least we got fancy furniture, amirite?

It was fun, but it's dead. At this rate I'll die of natural causes before the finished game is released -a state of being this game probably won't achieve anyway.

Are you talking about the Golem quest? Because i've replayed that quest like 30 times trying to locate a bug, and I don't remember a "smells badly part". I certainly hope my memory haven't begun failing me....

I'm actually pleased they have begun redoing the artwork, I am sick of looking at the generic god awful 3D Costum Girls. And the whole furniture system is a way for you to costumize your playthrough, HC has always had a sandbox feel to it so costumization to it fits quite well. But if you are ONLY here for the fluff, then yes I guess you could call the game "deader than the deadest dead"

There are games out there without a single picture, just as good -if not better, for the quantity of content they offer.

Sure, we have fancy new art. I like it. It's great. Really is, no sarcasm. But the cost of it? Development of story and characters slowed to a crawl. Some games get 10+ hours of content in a year, excluding the grinding if there's any. This game got about 1 hour, maybe.

Let me ask you, if you had to choose, would you say you play this game for the pictures? Or would you say you play because of the characters and story?

I should probably have made myself a little clearer before. I do agree that this game is advancing slowly, and to answer your question I play for the characters and story.
But what I meant with my comment before, was that I do not mind that they have put it on the backburner in favor of the new art for a while. Because I found it very jarring whenever a 3DCG comes up.

Understandable, though I never thought it was that bad.

But I can't agree with the timing.

Simply changing artist/art and continuing to develop the game is one thing, but they should finish it before they decide to improve its visuals. Most people are like you or I play for the story/characters, and many of us pay (or paid) for their work, every month, through Patreon. If the supporters don't get anything substantial, they'll discontinue their support. If that happens, devs will have no reason to keep developing the game, which will slow the current snail's pace to still-stand. It's a death spiral, and if they keep it up, the game will die, fast.

Well it didn't always bother me, but for some reason i've developed a strong dislike for it.

It's not like I don't understand your reasoning, it makes sense and are probably where it is heading. Patreon supporters seems to be stagnating around the 400 mark, which means the game isn't drawing any new supporters. And whenever something stagnates it's usually because a decline is starting, therefore I cannot logically dismiss what your are saying in any way.
However I am both a very hypocritcal and patient person. So even though I know their current direction is a bad one, I can't help being excited for the new art and I don't mind the wait

replay.rvdata2 still is 988 bytes, so unless it's now coded diffrently the old one should work. Two of the new bonus scenes crush, it seems to be a bug though.
Also, to unlock all scenes just open replay.rvdata2 in notepad and change all '0' to 'T', it seems to work for me. As for the attachment, remove .txt and copy to game directionary.
I don't think this has been mentioned, but this is what you need to do to unlock all the replay scenes in the main menu.

hey guys... anyone got an idea how to get into the ruins at the new excavation site? OR: how to cross that goddammned undergroundriver to get to the lever!?
sry i really get triggered by such "oh yeah you know we just didn t want to give you any hints how to do that - isn t it obvious anyways? No? hmm then you gotta run around like crazy to try EVERYTHING and miss the 'obvious' solution" <--- like i said: sorry

... " missing stage description" ... lovely

1 clear, 2 to go^^
No problem. But just for future reference try the wiki next time, the walktrhoug for the quest is there, plus I am a lot more accessible there if you have questions.
-Edit: BTW I am totally with you on the no stage description frustrations, that part had me frustated for a while aswell
