The one point I would like to say here is that Jin did not really believe that she could find a master that would treat her as a person, and even if she had, compared to her, he would not live long, and soon the two of them would be back where they started and if they got used to being treated nicely, it would hurt worse when they had to go back to 'normal'.

She took the drugs to increase her 'value', I assume Ann is taking them too.

I do like the idea of Jin having 2 paths, though I assume the 'love' path is going to be the default (maybe only, do it or not), though I also assume she will never be 'the same as Lin', but we will have to see what Runey has planned.

If my memories serve me right, the uncompress version would be aorund 70 GB. So, yes, Runey compress already the game. Also a compress version of the game was requested in the official compress game thread. Thus, I assume they can't compress the game more than it already is.
Additional it is much more difficulty to re-compress from already compress source than from the origin (uncompressed) source.

I've heard this for two games now (this and Mythic Manor). Yet, the last versions I have of each before upgrading (0.10.1 for Harem Hotel and 0.14 for Mythic Manor) are waaaaaaaaaay smaller than 0.11.2 for Harem Hotel and 0.16 for Mythic Manor. I know they didn't treble in size each from one version to the next, with compression.

My file folder for Harem Hotel 0.10.1 is a mere 2.12gb, yet the 0.11.2 version on the first page of this thread is 5.63gb in a .rar file.

Something is amiss. Same story with Mythic Manor.

if the dev reads this i just want to say this is a very complex and compelling story. it's rare for even big game devs to touch on topics of abolition and what it means to be alive. you should be commended for such deep questioning.

I like Jin enough that I installed the non-canon Mod just to have the extra repeatable scenes with her. I've played through the Slave routes with Nia and the other Elves and I have no moral qualms with living in that world. If the Elves can rationalize that being with a non-abusive human master is better than being owned by a really nasty slaver, then what's in a name? The purple-haired self righteous ELM agitators can bitch all they want, but if the Elves choose to stay as they are because they feel safer than trying an alternate life, it's their own free will and their own business.

I went off track here, but maybe Runey could implement a "Redemption" path where the MC has a one-time option of changing his point of view further in the game.

For all the other girls, it seems that they found something missing in their lives at the hotel. I hope the same happens for Jin.

So, +770 MB for 0.11.2 vs. 0.10.2 and + 584 MB for 0.10.2 vs. 0.9.2, this doesn't look, at least for me, as the game size suddenly explode, more like a constant increase of it. Also I would be curisous about the origin filte size in compare.

I think the idea was that her mother didn't have the same perceptions of Ashley's childhood as Ashley did. Given her Dad wasn't working it's likely her mother had little involvement with her day to day life and probably only heard her husband's side of things. Not to mention that over time it's probable that she became bitter about her life in general and tended to lash out at Ashley, blaming her for the shitty predicament her own life had become.

In other words I think there is a really good chance that she didn't understand or couldn't conceive why Ashley would want to leave that situation without some outside coercion.

I'm also betting that Ashley never defied her before. If that's the case, that could also lead to an incredulous scenario in her mother's mind.
