Yeah I know it would be expensive as fk for Runey. Them girls aren't selling their voices for cheap but some do, and even some for free (they just want credits for). I just want the best for this game. I got a lot of respect for it and my eyes are in hearts every time i think of harem hotel (not only for the h-scenes, even if it's the only thing i wanted at first ). The characters are well constructed and brilliant personally-wise (really easy to get into the story). But there's that lil missing recipe, the sound (the game is too quiet man *crickets*). Doesn't need to be the whole game in voice lines (which would be massive and probably unnecessary work). Just some moments... Some like: "Hi master (in a sexy way)" or can i make you some breakfast (Autumn or Sylvia in her maid outfit *drooling *). Nothing too large or too difficult to implement "in-game". Put small voice lines every here and theres just to make the player familiar with the voices and when comes the H-Scenes, GO FULL FORCE, LET"S GOOOO: MOANS, SKIN CONTACT, IMPREGNATION SOUND, MAKE HER SAY SHE'S YOUR CUMDUMP AND THEN LEAVE TO FUCK ANOTHER GIRL (Just kidding OR AM I ). *Ahem* Harem hotel is my favorite visual novel game so far and it will be very difficult for me to replace it for another one but i recently found games like House party or AI Shoujo which offer roam type of playstyle which heavily increase the player's experience with sex sounds and more. It will be very difficult for me to return to a visual novel after those. Runey is the captain of the boat and he is the only one that can decide to step his game up (that was a play on words) or not. Either way, harem hotel stays in my heart.

The best for this game is what Runey wants. As for doing only partial voicing, that actually detracts from the game, it doesn't benefit it. People don't typically like things half done even if half done was unavoidable and that would be a situation where it would seem half done. It would have to be fully voiced or not at all because of this, it is VERY jarring for a character to speak a line just moments ago just to be rendered mute the next.

Also, as far as voiced sex scene lines, not a lot of people like that, Devian and myself are two examples. AI Shoujo and House Party are a different type of game where voiced lines are pretty much expected, Harem Hotel is a VN, a type of medium where voiced lines are nothing but a bonus that is rarely ever expected outside of the big VN developers that are known for almost always hiring voice actors, these companies being much bigger in scale and far more capable than a single person developer, no offense Runey.

The best for this game is what Runey wants. As for doing only partial voicing, that actually detracts from the game, it doesn't benefit it. Not me, I absolutely hate most game voices in these games, and mute them right after the music (which is always the first thing I do, because I also hate that in most games, and many times they start blasting it before I can even get to the volume options, so my whole neighborhood gets to hear it before I can turn it down). Maybe if he does a kickstarter to finish the game and it gets overly supported then he could but, otherwise meh.

Plus having voice files would add tons of file space and the game size would likely triple in size and people will complain that much more about it.

Here's the thing I HAVE tried voiced lines AND voiced sex lines, that's how I know I don't like voiced sex lines in games or half done voiced audio in anything. I've played the Neptunia games, games that are pretty well known for having unavoidable budget issues that resulted in some lines not being available in English audio, Japanese audio, or both audio languages. They couldn't avoid it, they funded as many voiced lines as they could and just didn't have enough for the whole game, but had already budgeted toward having voiced lines in the first place. Runey doesn't have to make that mistake. There is always a way to make things better, but voiced lines in a one person developed VN isn't it.

The first time I tried the game, I expected it to be just a typical porn game and was proven horribly wrong. No, I would not speak the same, I wouldn't be playing if sex sounds were included, it would have already failed to keep me playing a long time ago. If voice audio, not including sex sounds, was included, I would be praising Runey for his miraculous ability to have funded a fully voiced, one person developed VN on his own. That is an insane task for one person to take on alone financially speaking and we can't forget the effort of coordinating with all the voice actors. If the audio was only half done, meaning not every single line in the game was voiced outside of sex sounds, I would also have dropped the game very quickly.

It would be a great addition to have voices for the general speaking lines, but the effort and funding required is just not feasible for one person and threatens to drag the efforts he already puts in down the drain. He's better off focusing on what he has already been doing, making great visuals and writing a great story.

I know it doesn't include you when I say people, people just means more than one person whether you are counted or not. There are at least two of us who wouldn't want voiced sex lines, so people is the appropriate term there. Hate to break it to you, though, but sound is not always the thing that excites the most. It does to some people, including yourself, but not everyone. For me, granted I'm in it for the story alone, it would be a huge turn off to have sex audio. Now, great music, especially an original soundtrack, and general voices would be great, especially the music, but again, it is not feasible for one person. On that note, Runey, if you ever want original music, I'm open for it, no compensation and all rights to you, I would just ask to be credited and it would take a while as I would have to write it and record it first, of course. I would actually consider it a pretty big honor, if I'm being honest.

In a fully Patreon funded project, taking that long to get even a single update out CAN be a death sentence. I've seen people start complaining about how long an update is taking in less time than it would take to implement this, inside a normal release period even, for other games, of course. I can only imagine how bad the comments of 'it's dead,' 'it's abandoned,' or 'the dev is milking his patrons,' would get if Runey tried this. The risks are just not worth the reward.

The mismatch of voice is definitely a big one and that is a concern I have with the voice idea in this game. Agreed, it isn't necessary, this IS a visual NOVEL after all. Definitely not worth the effort. Maybe if Runey had more hands working on the game, but not with one person. Very true on the space concerns, audio files can be massive compared to other file types and this game is already pretty big.

Generally speaking, I am one of those, though I will watched dubbed in some situations, more now days due to the ability to watch them while I am working. That said, other than some bad translations, loss of cultural aspects like honorifics, and localizations, my main problem with it is that there are so few voice actors in the U.S. that do anime, so almost every show has the same voices, so if you are not looking, it can be hard to tell what show is on.

I played a couple games like that around here too, they were almost fully voiced (the women anyway), but it was all done by the same woman, so they all sound mostly the same (there just are not many who will do this kind of work, and they can only do so many voices).

The cast here is so large and varied, it would be really hard to even get enough moans to not sound repetitive, never mind being fully voiced. lol

It doesn't matter if you don't buy it, that changes nothing. No, only one ever has, someone I actually knew personally, and I lost the chance with her a long time ago. No, there isn't a voice actress that could cause it in me, if anything I would be disgusted so bad that I would throw the game in my recycling bin before even making the conscious effort to do it. No, turning them off would no longer cut it at that point, the damage would have already been done and the game would be gone, permanently. I can agree on Runey, defintely brilliant, his writing is leagues better than most games on here, especially ones focused entirely on the sex aspect. That's true of sex, having all your senses does enhance the experience, it is not necessarily true of games. This game would be in the recycling bin within seconds of the first sex sound with me, it doesn't matter where it ranks on my list, in the top two, no game is safe from deletion for having that.

Hey there, brothers and Runey. Hopefully this feedback shall be appreciated somehow.

This is a gem, a definitive proof that you don't need top notch animations and all the high-end stuff to make a VN entertaining. It's been quite some time since I've been this eager to keep playing a VN. Its replay value is sky-high!

Even more, with a cast of characters this good, and different from one another, it provides a great variety in terms of nice content. Go democracy!

That said, and I still have some content (I guess a lot still) to play through, I can't finish without stating:

We need waaaaay more Kali, Lucy and Autumn's content. Lucy is such a lovely one, her games with Kali are pure gold. And Kali...oh, Kali...I love you! And Autumn is such a gorgeous one, with a very interesting trait: it couldn't be more enjoyable to make somebody sees the reality about religions and just be human like we're being able to help her do so.

All in all, they are my favorites. Oh wait, I forgot to mention Emma. Such a lovely and territorial one; I love that about her!

Darn it, can't forget to mention Ellen...Yeah, five favorites. This is a harem after all
