Not exactly, she has bugs in her programming, she always has had bugs, that's why she has a red eye. Part of the story was about fixing that code and it almost led to 'killing' her, single quotes because it technically isn't death, just shutting down a machine.

They want them because they want to please the MC. There have been changes, but not to who they are. They are still in ove with him and still trust him enough not to hurt them even in a BDSM situation, where going too far is not impossible even with the best intentions. Lin wants the MC to be happy, she has since she figured out he wasn't another bad human and fell for him, that hasn't changed. Even with that part of her, she is her own person with her own goals and she also want to see her race free of its, quite literal, shackles. That last part is true of every Elf in the hotel. She isn't a one dimensional character, thankfully, there are many sides to her, some that we may have not seen yet.

I highly doubt that a hotel tenant is going to be the ultimate big bad of the story, maybe it will be family of one like Kali's dad, even though he blatantly helped us to build the sanctuary, or Autumn's.

This whole story is a lot of work. Tons of core story, tons of side story, tons of bonus content. Again, it wouldn't stop Runey, if he thought it enhanced the game.

Yes, but by the time we've reached they also want other things. Sometimes contradictory things. NPCs have shut him out, stopped dating him, stopped being available for the dungeon, and every point in-between. BDSM as a binary switch — yes/no — is very unusual for this story. "I love being kinky but I'll no longer humiliate myself" would be a very realistic thing for one of the more narratively tormented NPCs to say. And whether or not that sticks — whether or not the NPC decides she actually did like the more humiliating kinks — would also be narratively interesting.

Why, though? I mean, it's easily justifiable and entirely reasonable. But why has Maria's trust never really wavered, save for a few days of isolation? Android's? Given what she's seen since, the MC put Lin in a very dangerous situation with that slave competition.

Complexity is welcome, and this story is very complex when it comes to characterization. Maria might never want to be bound again, considering what happened to her. Android might never want to have control taken away from her (or she might specifically want it, given that she's strong enough to break out of it). Lin might reject anything that makes her subservient, or she might actively seek subservience knowing that she's become the MC's equal in real life. These are all ways to make events and characters more complex and more nuanced. "Yes/no" w/r/t BDSM in its entirety isn't that complex.

Yes, it'd be a pain to retro-code. But Runey's done that as well. And the future offers a lot of potential.

Her 'bugs' are what makes her 'her', fixing them would revert her to 'default', where she would be just like any other android. She would still exist, but she would no longer be 'her' any more.

I love the idea of taking them for a walk like that, they are at a point where they would probably be willing, too. At least most of them are.

The twins already have a similar scene, with the pet outfit photoshoot, and they were asking for more, so talking them for a walk, making them 'water some plants', plowing them doggie style, etc... seems like the next logical step.

Hard to say who else might get off on it... It would certainly be fun in the slave routes for example for the elves. Even if Lin might enjoy it, it seems counter productive to her plot. It seems silly, but maybe some attachment for Android, or All1e later, some remnants of the dog body? lol. Kali certainly gets off on being exposed and humiliated. I can't wait to see how far Vanessa is willing to go. I still say Maria is an option, though I don't want to get into debating that can of worms again. Ashley would pretty much do anything if she thought it would make the MC happy. Autumn is a ways off from something like that, I think, but I can see her in the dungeon before too long, it really fits the theme they have of penance and guilt, just like the Catholics, maybe more so.

Just to expand on this: I'm into GS and I've had partners who are as well. But not a single one of them has been into it all the time, no matter what. It's a situational, negotiated (even if silently) act. Some of the dungeon activities in HH are fairly extreme. It's very, very normal in BDSM relationships for specific acts to be conditionally consensual. HH would be more realistic if specific acts were conditional on specific narrative beats. I can't, for exampe, imagine Maria being cool with being tied up after her arrest. Other stuff, maybe. Restraints? No. Later, after trust has been restored? Sure.

Usually i'm a lurker, but the latest interesting discussion and the fact I love this game, makes me write my opinion.

We are discussing a couple of different things here, so i try to get the different topics here:

1. The discussion about the Dungeon: To some point I have to agree to Segnbora. Following the strorys of the characters, there is truly some reason for the girls to deny some parts or even all in the dungeon. I absolutely agree with the example of Maria he has pointed out. After the traumatic event finding out that she is an half-elf with all her rights and her existance being torn into zillion pieces, i cannot imagine how someone would be willing to freely being (consensually) locked up or more, even by someone she truly loves. At least in her core story she is shattered by that fact and acts completely different now and i have no doubt it would change someones attitude in BDSM as well (at least for a period of time). She has been shackled and locked away in that event, so shackles and being locked or tied must be the ultimate symbol of unjust opression. Maria is the most obvious example and we dont even have to discuss about the other girls because Marias example is enough to prove Segnboras (and my) point.
   So, as a result to me the dungeon was never part of the story (and here I think I disagree to Segnbora). It never really fit in. Its the pure porn part of HH. And thats what i accepted. Most of us came for the tags and the porn part. I never asked myself the question why it was so badly conecting to the main story. Because its even optional most of the time! So instead of asking does it situationally fit (it doesnt, as stated above), the question has to be, should it fit? My opinion to that question? I have no idea. But if it would, that would make it a 6*-game. But if you think this thread to its end you have to come to the conclusion that the dungeon not only has to be situational all the time but cannot be optional anymore but embedded within the story!
2. The Android and her attitude towards the MC: I was thinking already to make a post about her and posing some questions. Wheather shes ready or not for Sex/BDSM with the MC is a question that noone really can answer in my eyes. The coding of her is pure fiction so we cannot make asumptions on what would be her true behaviour, because we have no data IRL. So we (as the audience) have to accept the behaviour Runey is writing for her, because its the result of her (fictional) coding. Runey explained it in my eyes logically enough to make it fit into her/the story. She is my second favourite character, because from the beginning her story was/is the most unpredictable. (Even though Runey is capable of making all female MC unpredictable ) What bothers me most about the Android though is the way the MC is reacting to her. Not only we have a super powerful naive child who cant control her temper, she is also an Android every criminal, dictator, government, scintist, mogul would kill for, not forgetting to mention that normal people would be terrified if they knew her existance and demand extermination. I think none of us would leave her carelessly wander around and getting everybody in the Hotel including herself into major problems. The male MC is my main point of criticism btw, which i stated already in my review, so its not an Android thing in particular but an overall thing. It only disturbes the most in the Android story.
3. The general obedience to the MC: I think Runey made a hell of a job to justify this for each character. I have read other stories with justifications so shallow, it was impossible to go with. I agree that they are not always 100% perfect, but hey, come to think of it: Its very hard to do so, so the job was well enough done in this aspect. Most stories use drugs, magic or whatever to get the girls into submission. But Runey didnt chose the easy way, he took the hard way. You have to give credits to this. In my eyes this discussion is about that it could have been better then an A!

Finally I would like to know from Runey if you prefer Discord or F95 for Feedback on particular characters?

1. Maria has always enjoyed kinky sexual activities. She didn't grow a fear of ropes or chains, she grew a fear of hospitals. Maria has been arrested before, and put behind bars (only temporarily, while she was younger). This didn't stop her from finding that stuff nice sexually either. On the same note, being put in hand cuffs by police doesn't ruin that fetish for anyone IRL either. So this doesn't make much sense to me.

If anyone would be afraid of ropes and chains, it's Lin. But she clearly isn't.

2. Android is not a child, she never was. Yes, she is ready for BDSM. She doesn't have an issue controlling her anger, I can't actually recall any point she has been an angry person at all (maybe in reaction to Kim and Ami thinking she's a freak?). She has just been sad most of the time instead. I'm not sure what else to add here, this point is very confusing to me.

I would like to know at which points you believe MC doesn't play his role properly, discord is the best place to do so.

Simply drag the game folder into the main game folder (the one with game, lib, renpy etc.) and override the gallery.rpy file when asked

It follows a multi-step event (level 30), so assuming you've been to the college and met the girls and she's spent the night with you, you should bump into her in the lobby in the afternoon. Keep an eye on the loading screen girl icons when you sleep at night to make sure her icon is full, otherwise it's still on cooldown.

Kind of off topic but still related to the game. Anyone know who the ACTUAL original artists for the songs "Monday" and "Imagining" are? These songs are bangers and I wanna find more of their stuff. I know the linked videos aren't the original creators. I found "Missing You" which is by Purrple Cat. They've got alot of good songs too. "Midnight Snack" in particular fucking slaps.

Because they love and trust him while Android has no real say in whether she trusts him. Wehn the hospital thing happened, who was it that came to her rescue? It was the MC with some help from Ellen. When all other humans, aside from a few, are so bad to Elves, who was it that treated Lin like a person and not a slave? It was the MC, this time with no help.

exactly, because right now while the cheat mods can technically unlock the gallery (some of it, because some are decided by other variables that arent main girls friendship, while my unlocker unlocks all of them), but at the cost of progression; you would have to raise their friendship (manually for each), which will impact your experience playing if you do decide to actually play through the story, my patch just unlocks the gallery without touching any other stat.
