No one else has mentioned it, so inclined to believe it's the manager. Are you able to use a torrent? RPDL has one.

probably. some of the sources have a size limit. try downloading it from the itch store.

I suggest Jdownloader2. Works great.

do you use 7-zip? winrar hasn't been updated in ages, so that one is utterly useless.

I was about to post about this same issue though for me it happens if I go into the computer in "your room" and then use the back arrow in the lower left instead of properly exiting the computer with the power button. it also bumps me to the second town screen (where you can enter the park or beach or church) when I click that back arrow so maybe it's connected?

not sure if that helps you at all in your search.

I've had winrar on my computers since the 90s, or whenever it came out, works fine- just don't try to pay for it because that's a blackhole.

Maybe try cnet for a working copy?
