You never know. You'd be surprised by the amount of people who skip this simple precaution then come here complaining when their saves don't work with the actual release.
The mod might have, but it seems broken at the moment. They might get it working again one day, or maybe Runey could do it, but he wasn't happy with them any more, so if he does, he would want to redo them so they are better quality. I would not expect that any time soon, if at all.
