Visit the bar in the evening(repeatedly) to make sure you've seen all the bar events. There should be a trigger about Maria becoming a new bartender. It is only at that time that the outfit actually works to be purchased.

According to the wiki level 36 is near the end of her current story line. You previously said you were using a "cheat", so hopefully you didn't modify something that broke the event progress.

Special Instructions:

Install apk.
Alternative persistent saves/log location
Grant storage permissions on first run!
On first run you will get a prompt to copy the archive.rpa file to "documents/Wills747/harem.hotel/game" folder.
(game will quit now)
Copy the rpa file to the directory indicated in game.
Restart the game.
Keep in mind if your default install location is an actual SD card and slow speed this may slow the launch.

Keep archive.rpa if you can, I'll use it for future updates to keep the apk size small.

Isn't the Maria Bartender Outfit actually part of Moon's storyline rather than Maria's?

I see. Personally I stopped playing around the time when there was an introduction of some kind political discourse over slavery of androids or something. So I guess it has been years ago?

It was elves. But if that put you off the game, there probably isn't any reason for you to come back; that part of the story's only growing. I think it's safe to say, without getting into the question of whether this has always been the case, that it's the main story.

Aye it is. I only brought up the event point since he referenced how far along he is in the story. Moon's events in comparison is significantly shorter, so the option to have Maria as a bartender should have triggered ages ago. I want to say you need Maria at least 19/20? Just after she decides to stop doing the cam work.

I politely disagree. Maria is in no way deranged by her feelings for the MC. Indeed, there's a big plot line wherein she drops anchor on the relationship, hardly a yandre move, right?

I read Harem Hotel as a series of meditations upon the idea of freedom and its corollary, obligation . I think Runey's remarks on Itch back that up, he's clearly thinking in terms of freedom--really, really big freedom. He's not talking about the sort of blase "freedom is good because it's freedom," but really radical freedom, the kind of freedom that destroys tyranny. Insofar as obligation is concerned, I'm on less certain ground. But freedom and obligation are long-standing counterweights on the balance of Western thought, so I don't think I'm too far off the mark. It's kinda hard to talk about the one without thinking about the other, it's a notion that goes back to Plato and the cradle of Western thought.

Turning directly to Maria, at the start of the story she is far and away the most free resident of The Hotel. Maria is unincumbered by money or sexual hangups--Money? No worries! Boys? Sure! Girls? That'll work, too! Boys and girls? Just get me off and we're cool!

I think it's critcal to note that when we meet her, she is the freest character in the entire game. She is pure freedom, without bounds and with no obligations. As we know, that doesn't last...and I think that is critical to Runey's objective for the character.

I think that makes her one of the most interesting characters in the game. While all the other characters in the game are trying to overcome their obligations and achieve personal freedom, Maria is charting a retrograde course. She's trying to regain her freedom and she is exploring the many dead ends that her lack of freedom places before her. Everyone eleses story is hurtling one way while she's painfully clawing her way in the opposite dirrection. That's a nifty bit of writing on Runey's part. She's a really cool, deep, and interesting character and hardly a yandre storyline.

I'm not trying to be a dick, it's just what I think. For what that's worth, and it ain't much.

I haven't touched this game in like almost 4 years until last week. I played Harem Hotel since it's early days when Felicity & Emma were just side characters on Ashley route and 2nd floor was still under construction. It took me over a week to finish all routes (I played 1-2 hours everyday).

I love how the girls story evolve from internal conflict between the girl vs herself to the girls (& MC) vs the world while still continue progressing their each character development. I can't help but wonder if all of these stories were planned by Runey since the beginning. But when I replay from the beginning I guess there are hints/foreshadows planted here and there where the story & world building going. At least this one still has active development and not almost abandoned like another favorite of mine which I also played since its early days (Mythic Manor)

Well, that was fun. See you guys in 2028 I guess

Oh one more thing. I finished Lin route first before Jin. Now I can't go to the city to purchase Jin gardening tool due to city lockdown & martial law. Is there a solution to this problem?

Yeah, restart or if you're lucky, go back to an earlier save before finishing Lin. If you don't have one, oh well.

Man, I wish we can see more interaction in the city more than few times per location. Although, I'm not sure if 2-3 years later will be added unless the main harem girls story is 50% done.
