You have to go to the fairy and choose to unlock missed past scenes. She's in the little room at the bottom left of the gallery room.

Edit: Complete camp quests, Trade hall, Horse guy, and purple cactus plants ones, not the stone one yet.
get the other medallion from chief, and go to the temple.

yeah its hard to find i did find it but it was so hard in the DARK CAVE so i don't remember once i found i first activated the teleporter on the right

Ok, so small problem. The "golden" statue you get from the quest isn't centered correctly. It's slightly left of the middle of the room.

IIRC it is not in the cave. you go through the cave and find an exit. there will be a teleported there and the goblin village.
I think maybe you need to go up more than 3 sceens. been a while so i don't remember
