You really should not be losing hairs over this. Players can and will always find a way. If not an unlocker, they can just get the images from the game files. This isn't on you, its not your problem to worry about or fix. Seriously it isnt.
AAA studios jump through hoops to try and stop players for other more legal reasons but even they cannot stop people from using cheat engine if they want. It's out of your zone of influence.


Anyway I enjoyed the game and play it as intended(mostly). I'm sure plenty others do too. Don't let it get to you.

People doing that kinda takes the whole purpose of playing a game out of the equation. Why do I even bother making a game where choices matter and there are different routes to explore when people can just download a thing and get everything?

Think of it like piracy.

Lots of companies hate piracy because they believe that it equates to a lost sale. Someone who pirates the game isn't spending money, afterall (if they are they're doing it wrong). But in reality, many people that pirate games would not have purchased said games to begin with. Maybe they lack the money, maybe they like to try before they buy, maybe their priest told them that purchasing games was sinful, but piracy is a loophole. Who knows. The point is, when someone pirates a game, often times it's not a net loss, but a net neutral, because said person wasn't going to purchase the game anyway. If anything, now that person might actually buy the game they pirated, because they realize it's super cool and they want to support the developer(s) of said game.

Someone that just wants to jerk off to some cute boys wouldn't have properly played the game anyway. By having some kind of unlocker, that someone that's only here for porn will still see the game. Maybe they'll get into it and actually play, maybe not. But either way, it's not a lost "customer" (player), rather a net neutral interaction. Without the unlocker, that someone completely ignores the game. With the unlocker, they at least see it and possibly give it a chance. Or tell their degenerate friends.

In this instance, my primary concern isn't the lost sale, rather people skipping all my writing/build up/gameplay to get to a lewd scene where they have jumped over all the context and effort of getting to that scene.

At the point, why play a porn game? Just watch porn.

True, but again, think of it like this. That person that's skipping your game for the porn would have skipped absolutely everything otherwise. This way, at least there's the porn, and maybe, just maybe, it'll make them interested in seeing what the game itself is like.

What I'm saying is, don't take it as a hit to your motivation, because that guy is basically a ghost. What they do with the game doesn't and never will affect you negatively, because it's either they take a piece of it you didn't intend, or nothing at all. For me personally, without the build up, the dating, the conversations and everything in between, the sex part would be dull and meaningless. The game is not even that long as well, but even if it was, this one so far is rly well written. I think its worth the 30ish min of play. <3

As a guy who wants to remain as straight as being straight can possibly be, I was never into genres like this
But as time passes, I got bored of the typical, normal, boy x girl contents and kinda wanna try the genres that I left untouched purely out of curiousity + in search for excitement eventhough I know those genres could disgust me because of my straightness, femboy being one of those genres. But I barely ever tried one because the available games of the genres ,at the time I was looking to try one, was pretty bad in terms of gameplay, art style, story
Then a few days ago when I was exploring the lastest updates section, I saw your game and gave it a check because of how good the art style in the thumbnail was and found out the game is about femboys. I was a bit reluctant because of the content but I still decided to give it a try because of how good the art style is + well it seemed like a good time to give this genre a try anyway and oh boy, your game did not disappoint.
Eventhough I still remain straight despite how hot and sexy the femboys got portraited in your game (which Im really proud of myself), I must admit that your game got pretty much top tier story telling (the choice of words, the writing, the arrangement of the events,...), superb art style, and Its amazing the way the game is made that the player of it can actually feel how passionate the creator is in making it. But most importantly, unlike most hentai games where the story is most of the time crappy/doesnt make sense/unrelated to the situation, your game's story is very detailed, makes a ton of sense in every part + actually go deep into the emotions and the backgrounds of the femboys that led who they are right now, helping people who never knew much about femboys (other than them being boys who are femine + dresses like girls) like me understand more about them as well as their struggles being femboys in this modern society.
Your game did a amazing job in almost all aspects of the game and I really have high expectations for upcoming chapters, especially the artstyle and the story.

Most of the dialog + the whole game's idea wouldnt make sense if the femboys were actualy females so you either play this game as it is or find other games through the straight tags

With all due respect despite being the developer it's not your prerogative to dictate to anyone how to enjoy a product or a piece of art. You may suggest an intended way to do so, even offer what you consider the best possible way, but you MUST discard the idea that you have any control over anything your audience does with your product once they have it in their hands.

Emil Pagliarulo, Bethesda's lead writer for the last decade and a half, famously stated during a conference regarding Fallout 4 that players will take his carefully written scripts and turn them into "paper airplanes". He shares your mentality, which explains why everything he was responsible to since taking said role at Bethesda was absolute garbage, as he doesn't see the value in putting the effort in when a portion of his audience will not care.

Focus on creating what ever you're inspired to and brings you joy. Don't look at those who ignore chunks of your game as an insult, instead be happy that those who were not interested in reading a novel still found your art captivating enough to check it out anyway. Sometimes a person might watch a scene in the gallery and find it so great they must know what led to this point.

I'm personally really enjoying your game and will be greatly disappointed if you'd let something like this demotivate you from your work.
