Some people see a furry dev be successful in literally anything and assume that they're scamming people because content updates aren't being pumped out three times a week. I bet you think Lethal Company is a scam too, lol
No one is expecting updates 3 times a week. However, it is fair assumption to say that the pace of progress of this game is not entirely matching up to their budget.

4 years later, things aren't being made from scratch anymore. "Made from scratch" happened years ago. They have a template skeleton and codes can be copied. Existing meshes can be slightly modified. There are 3 canines and 4 lizards (2 of which are similar looking bots) so it's something that they've done.

Point is; if they are going release things at the rate they currently are, it could be something a smidge better than "we added christmas lights to the cabin and Astera now has the same mechanics as the other bot". It got boring.

Not complaining. It's a point of fact that I found remarkable in the first half and then an assumption of what may be going on in the next half. It's not a farfetched point to assume that they are working slowly on purpose.

not farfetched no. but they're releasing on average one milestone build and 1-2 hotfixes a month, sure they aren't usually huge updates but with those releases you're only getting a tiny little look at what they've finished since the last update. that doesn't mean that's the only thing they've done or are working on. they don't have a public trello as far as i know, so there isn't a public roadmap available and aside from what they mention in patreon updates its anyones guess what all they're doing behind the scenes for future builds not just the next milestone or hotfix. they're working on implementing more in depth modding tools and eventually multiplayer, that shit doesn't just happen with the snap of your fingers, not to mention the literally just added an entirely new game mechanic with this last round of updates, even if its not to your taste thats hardly insignificant.

there is a lot of shit that goes into game development behind the scenes, even more so with VR, modding, multiplayer, soft body physics etc. have you ever done 3d modeling, rigging, texturing or any of that? sure some stuff can be reused to a degree but unless the characters have the exact same body type and proportions its still going to require a degree of fine tuning and tweaking to get things to work correctly. any new assets are going to be largely made from scratch, and i'd rather wait a little longer for new and unique character models than lazy reskins of existing ones. Personally I disagree that its a fair assumption that their budget to development speed ratio doesnt match up, mostly because ~90% of the work they're doing is behind closed doors laying the groundwork for future releases. we only see the ~10% that they decide is ready for release at any given time. starfield took 400 million dollars, 500+ developers and like 7 years, and that game is almost entirely procedurally generated and half empty lol.

even if you're a game dev yourself its not your place to tell another developer how to do their job and what constitutes an acceptable pay to progress ratio. if you wanna dictate that shit, apply for a job and get to work lol. complaining about the furry vr porn game that you aren't paying for not getting made fast enough to suit you, on a porn game piracy board, isnt going to do anybody any good. pay the 2$ a month and go bitch at them directly on discord about how slow you think they're going and see how long you last there lol.
Like to add that money doesn't just make people better at their jobs and hiring developers for a porn game (since porn is still frowned on for some businesses) is not as easy as a regular game. Especially if the studio (idk where they are located if they have one) isn't in a tech heavy place like CA.
let alone a furry vr porn game. niche in a niche in a niche lol. VR is hard, have you seen Wild Life or Home Together? their VR implementations barely work lol

if you get interested in looking into it shop around for used ones on marketplace or ebay. older ones like the first gen vive and OG oculus cv1 and rift S arent exactly high res by todays standards but still totally usable and pretty easy for even midrange computers to run. can find em pretty cheap too, like under 200$ used. only expensive part of a vive setup is getting base stations if it doesnt come with them, upside is they work with the index, knuckles controllers and any other steamVR native headset. you can even get used reverb g2s for 200-300$, i bought mine new and honestly the only thing keeping it from being the best budget headset out there right now IMO is the fact that its WMR and not native steamVR, and the controllers are only OK, not as good as the old oculus controllers or knuckles. blows the index away as far as image quality and comfort though. i've got an index, OG vive, and reverb G2 right now and the vive and index are both listed on ebay atm lol. i wanna buy a varjo aero and will prob sell my g2 as well to help pay for it if i can score a decent priced one

same for other mods and for poses same thing but drag the .pose file you downloaded to the folder labled with the character name of who the pose is made for should say who to drag files to in name of said file which is all located inside the folder labled poses and then just drag it there and then open game spawn said character and then go to custom poses make sure in right location first tho

this is the best explanation, I think

I will explain it more because why not
open heat folder > Heat_Data > Managed > open HeatSDK.Core.dll with dnSpy or something similar
you can just type "authenticated" in the center search box, double click the result, and right click to edit the authenticated bool from false to true. that is the simple way.
if you want to manually look for it, expand these:
View attachment 3398179
then scroll down until you find Options and either click on it or expand it to find the authenticated bool. right click and click edit, change false to true and compile.
Thank you very much!

I saved your explanation, downloaded dnspy and will try it when the next version comes out :)

is there a single custom character mod out there yet??????
There has been one, but it is a little buggy & only works on some older version, it was Isabelle from Animal Crossing. But prospects are looking up in the discord, with the new mod tools release it seems like a bunch of people are taking up modding in characters.
