Hey, I'm trying to follow the Modding Guide because I want to start modding on the game a bit, but I can't even load the unity project properly, each time I try it tells me that they are compilation errors. I'm pretty sure I correctly copied the right files as said in the Getting Started section, so I don't know why I got those errors. Am I missing dependencies of some sort ?

Here are the kind of errors I got :

make sure you drag and drop the DLL_FOLDER into the assets folder after you paste the dlls in.

I did that, both with and without the .meta files that are in the original DLL_FOLDER.
you using the right version of unity? has to be version 2021.3.21.f1. and not sure which ones but the modding guide does mention some warnings at the start that you can ignore, not sure if they're different from the ones you're getting tho, havent messed with it in a while

Yes I'm using the right version of Unity, I got compilation errors, not only warnings I can ignore. I posted a screenshot of the errors I got in the first message, they seem to come from file that are already in the modding kit so... yeah I really don't understand what's causing them. Litterally every errors are "that thing doesn't contain this definition"

it could be that the dlls are from a version of the game that is either too old or too new compared to the version of the modding project youre using. The modding project in the google drive may be out of date to the latest dlls. Either way, those editor scripts that are erroring are all related to character modding. If you aren’t making a character mod, it is likely safe to delete them.

Actually, I want to mod characters ^^'
The DLLs are from the last Milestone of the Game, so 0.6.9.1, and the modding tool is also the last version I think ? it's the Release V9.2

Doesn't seems to be just that, I tried loading DLLs from Heat 0.6.2.2 and I have the same errors showing in Unity
The character modding section of the guide states that modding project V9.2 needs 0.6.1.2 dlls for character modding to work properly. Given how frequently character modding needs updated, each modding project release requires very specific dlls for character modding to work properly. It’s highly recommended that you get V9.4 if you want to do character modding since it got majorly updated in V9.3.

Ho, alright thanks, did someone already posted the V9.4 here or is it only available on their discord for now ?
it’s available on the Discord. I highly recommend getting Discord access if you’re going to attempt character modding so that you can get inevitable troubleshooting support from the devs. Heat characters are so complex that nobody has yet to successfully mod in a character except for the actual modding dev.

Alright, thanks for your answers !
I guess I'll wait until someone either post the modding pack V9.4 here or on Google Drive or Proton Drive
