Yep, there's actually several LIs in HD that are alternate versions of side characters from BW. Aurora and Maddie are the other's I remember right now.
And for those of you who played the Zenda path in BW, you'll recognize Dr. Madelyn Allington as Maddie from the BW universe. Aurora's cameo in the Sadie shower scene was fun. I was happy to discover she was going to be in HD. I think Aurora might be turning out to be my favourite character.

the first one I recognized after Nikki was Aurora haha. Maddie seems quite different though than how she was portrayed in BW.

Aurora was never named in BW and only briefly appeared as a college bathroom voyeur on Sadie's routes and at trivia night on Mora's routes. Nikki was the clothing store MILF that tried to compete with Val. And yeah, Maddie was exclusive to Zenda's route.

Nikki is there on every route, iirc you can even fuck her? At least she comes on to you but I never went with it. Aurora shows up at the Mora trivia event and in the showers with Sadie. And as it was mentioned earlier Maddie on the Zenda path a couple times. Not sure if anyone else was shown.

Yeah, you can fuck both Nikki and Maddie in BW (though I think only as part of a threesome in the case of Maddie).

Yeah, you can bang Nicole anywhere, but there can be consequences. If you're with Val, even as a side, she warns you off of sleeping with Nicole a second time. Doing so causes her to break up with you. If you're on Val Solo, this dumps you onto the SadLife ending.

Fun fact: in the AVN tradition of naming the most obnoxious character "Ethan," that's what we've named Coral's boyfriend.
I didn't register Dr. Madelyn being Maddie at first because of the different hairstyle and all but i did eventually made the connection but Aurora i recognized imediatelly, she left a lasting impression in BW even if she was there for only a couple seconds. She's just very easy on the eyes. And Nikki was the same for me, always felt there could have been more done with her in BW because she's for me one of the most beautiful girls in BW but im glad that at least in this one we finally get a proper chance with her, which im taking for sure.
Finished it, really cool game so far, but after BW i kind of espected the same level of quality. If there's one thing to point out that i would like to see is the ability to name saves, i assume this game will probably have several routes like the previous one and sorting through all those saves without a naming feature will be a nightmare. In previous game luckly mod was there to fix that issue but in this there isn't one for that as of yet

Heavens Door is an optionally full harem game, so when it comes to LIs you can potentially get all their paths in one save, if you like. There are however 3 endings planned (each with some possible variations depending on choices).

I haven't gone back and looked, but throughout BW after HD was announced I started thinking all the girls walking by giving the MC side-eyes were potential LIs and SGs for this game ...

I'm afraid that the changes to the font and/or background colour are expressions of how the UI dev approached the theme. It's most likely that I'll need to implement an entirely new help screen that utilizes the mechanisms of the visible UI.
