Nicki is main girl to me how the hell did Patricia get so deep with the MC. I really hope I can keep Patricia in the friend zone.
That's easy: In Chapter 1, move her foot off your lap. When you visit the next week, tell her she's right that you came to visit Sky. And, finally, after the punch up at the diner, choose "Better not" when she asks to kiss you. Frenzone dat bish.

Yeah I know, I had the brain scan too, I was talking about the drugs, MC discovered he had a tumor because of persistent headaches and neckaches, so he was already sick before he started using the drugs. That’s why I asked the question.

Sure, it's possible Andrew faked the scans, I wouldn’t put it past him, but I don’t think that’s the case. I believe the MC really does have a tumor. Like Maccabbee said a last week, the signs are there: the name of the game is Heaven’s Door, and the strip club is called Heaven’s Gate.
I'm pretty sure the name of the club isn't Heaven's Gate.

My only issue with the idea that Andrew also faked the brain scan is why? Even if that was the first time, he'd clearly been working on her, not him, other than pretending to be his friend. If she'd somehow found out he was "sick" before he got her, that probably would have ruined things for him.

But yea, since the hospital knew about his condition and did a scan for concussion, they also should have scanned to make sure the tumor wasn't going to be causing more problems, right? If it had ruptured, they'd have to try to do something about it, I'd imagine, so if they'd done that scan and there was no sign of a tumor ...

Anyway, those are my thoughts.

CT scan isn't typically the very first thing done when an unconscious patient arrives at the hospital. They do check your pre-existing paper work first then CT scan is done later if issues are still present like headache or a skull fracture. But then again people do shit ass backwards at times

So the doctor only knows he has cancer because of the paper work until he gets another CT scan then we will know for sure unless its set in stone already besides here-say.

I don't think a doctor could fake such a test. Firstly, because they do not do it themselves and secondly, it is done with very specialized computers that only have the programs to carry out these tests and from there they go to a database where they are seen by the doctors and cannot be modified.

I think this theory has already been shot down - because of the second test. I don't think the other doctor would do it anyway. It's one thing to cheat on your fiance, it's another thing to cheat on your fiance while they are dying of cancer. It would have worked against his goal.

I agree, that theory doesn't make any sense.

Did our mother lose a long protracted battle with cancer?

When talking to Patricia about our current lackadaisical status, she says that her grandmother and our mother would get along, and we respond with "Yeah, I bet they would've". I took that to mean that our mother is no longer alive. And when Nikki is asking about if you've heard from your parents, we stop for a moment to carefully consider our answer, as if we are trying to hide something, and she has to take a phone call before we can answer. We also mention to Coral that losing a parent is hard, especially at a young age.

I was just wondering why our character is so reluctant to undergo treatment, and figured that it could be an understandable response to watching a loved one slowly waste away in a painful and futile struggle.

That could be part of his acceptance, but this particular cancer he has is inoperable. The treatments being offered were not effective, and mostly fail, and have serious side effects (at least, that was my understanding in the scene). A lot of it isn't said outright, but judging by expressions and comments in the scene. These are doctors that know each other, some things didn't have to be said outright.

The first doctor we talked to (Dr. Saunder) said that he wanted to treat it aggressively and get it to a size where surgery is feasible. And the second doctor (Dr. Rose) says "There are things you can do, you know", to which we respond "I know. And you know that I know." So I am under the impression that those two doctors seem to think that it's not completely hopeless. And yet, the MC doesn't want to try.

I was thinking that maybe there's a backstory yet to be told, since the game is not very forthcoming with information about the rest of his life. I don't even know what he's doing the other six days a week, or why he has been travelling past this gas station every Thursday.
