I have yet to play the rehash, but I was familiar with the first rendition. I can see why they needed to change the game, but the way they went about it was almost as self-defeating as the initial path they took.

It's literally sarcasm, "Red Falls" there was a mystery, a plot, something that let you get inside the story.

"Helping the Hotties" it's just an other #YouWantToFapThereYouAre material.

The scene was avoidable though.. didn't need to watch it. ( aside from it being considered NTR or not ) by cutting out Paul (daddy) who for better or worse was an antagonist who definitely made the story have some friction and depth was a lot more interesting then what it is now.. and judging by what the dev(s) said they seem to agree. so good job on the ones nagging/crying/demanding a story is changed pretty far into development just to fit their personal needs/kinks.

How the devs chose to fix the situation is on them... They didnt need to remove the character.

I haven't played the game yet, but if the dad character was causing the game to lose support of course they would remove him, that's how making a successful product works.

How many people though? Things like voyeuristic sex, and ntr can REALLY hit a games profit margin, and audience size. Those things are incredibly divisive, and sticking to "your vision" is a nice sentiment but if you're losing money/audience because of it it's just a bad business decision to continue to do so.

They may have lost the ntr and voyeur crowd, but they may gain the harem crowd which is admittedly MUCH larger. Only time will tell though.

Then there is also the abandoned game, which actually had NTR out of nowhere, which made people mad. That surely had an impact on the patreon page, but it was a long time ago.

I was more speaking in general rather than this game specifically. I just popped in to see if this game was worth downloading. I'm not saying it applies to this game, but the thing is F95 is a huge contributor to patreon numbers. You can't filter adult games by tags on patreon, nor is there a forum to discuss the game itself. Without sites like F95 I would bet most porn games would have a fraction of their audience. So you not only have to pay attention to your paying customers, but also pay attention to WHERE your customers are coming from, and what they are saying there.

Yup. I agree with that. This game changing like it has was the last straw for me. I can take some changes cuz changes WILL happen all the time. But when a change has the feeling of taking something away and giving you a shell in exchange, it's not a square deal in my eyes. I tried this new update using jdownloader and waiting 4 hours for it to download. After all that effort, all I get is the feeling that instead of going to a camp where you need to fix the situation and take the girls for yourself, it's a plotless catch-em-all. I have the feeling that xRed honestly isn't into this "redo" cuz it feels really low effort compared to "Lewd Island", for example. I wonder if xRed is about ready to burn out and stop developing cuz of what's happening on this site, honestly.

If they want to make an NTR game it's all right. I don't go into "hotwife ..." or "cuck simulator" threads and complain about the female LI getting banged by others, i don't even go in because i know that game is not for me. As i understand it (got a little late to the party) because issues on past games from this studio, they explicitly said there was going to be no NTR in this game. And two minutes into the game we get to see one of the main characters that can be reasonably be expected to to be a LI getting banged. Then the usual shitshow happens in the forum and they start with the "akchually it is not really NTR because...". If you are not making an NTR game, how hard is it to not have one of the LI getting fucked by some other guy? Just don't even go there and you save yourself all the drama.
Now they gut the game and all of its plot and blame for it the anti NTR crowd, "look at what you made us do!". "He is her husband how are they not going to fuck?" Easy, he cheated a while back, she is still angry at him and they are having a dead bedroom. Now you can keep the dude in the story as an antagonist to the MC and you avoided the NTR issue. I am hired as a writer now xred games?
It's like complaining about having clear windows in a car and instead of tinting them, you take them out, and after that "brilliant" fix blame the one that complained about how now whenever you drive the wind is unbearable and you keep swallowing bugs that the windshield should have kept out.
Seriously, if the only way your writer has to keep the story engaging is having the LI getting banged by other dudes, you should get a new writer.
But that is not really the issue, but that it seems like they are making games for a public they hate and actively try to anger.
There is a public for NTR games and they certainly have the skills to render beatiful girls, go do that. Because as it is, they are not happy and the public is not happy.

You don't even need to do the whole "they aren't having sex" schtick. Just don't show it. Don't even mention it. If you're making an ntr game fine, but if you aren't just don't go there. It's literally less work to not piss off you're fanbase.

This game really needs some sort of background for the characters you first meet at the camp. Its clearly still designed for ipatch stuff but it could be as simple as the classic dead parents and you where raised by your moms best friend even. Right not it makes no sense. Some lady called eve calls you and you go "home" whatever that means.
