I admit my mistake i didn't check site you linked (didn't know it existed). I base my whole argument on N_taii words from the post about leak specially the fragment about crossroads. For my rant I blame year 2020 . This cocludes this topic. MaxelFX no need for reply, for me you're right.

As much as I love what the dev is doing with his game I have to agree that locking content is fucking stupid. Some might be stupid enough to pay the "full price". Makes me glad I never got around to donating to the patreon, definetly won't be doing it now. Doesn't matter if it's side sory content, it's the principle behind the action.

Listen, you can call me stupid, greedy, or even the spawn of satan, I don't mind. It's fine.
But don't go around calling my Patrons, those who support me, stupid. They could have given their money somehwere else, to a big corporation where it would not have made any difference. Instead, they decided to invest in a small game dev because they liked what he does. I could never be thankful enough, and that's why I won't accept critics to them, or calling them names, for no apparent reason.
Thanks to those people, 20$, 30$, 5$, 9$, 1$ Patrons, I've been able to constantly increase the quality of the games by adding portraits, sound design and music made by professionals, and have a whole array of pixel animations, NSFW or not, made from scratch by an artist.
Currently, around a quarter of my Patrons are 20$, and they make up half of my income. They, as well as all the others, are part of the reason we get HC2, and that we'll most likely at least get an HC3, maybe more than that. So I think they deserve respect like all the others. They're not only "buying an extra-scene", they're investing into an entire game series and supporting my livelihood. I think that counts too.

I don't really see an issue here. You're getting most of the game for free, and if you want the extra scenes, but don't want to do the whole 'support the author' thing, all you have to do is wait until it's finished and fork over the 20$ in the patreon. I think all the market specialists here should agree that it's a fair price for a niche product.
Of course that requires the long lost art of patience.

Warlocks and sovereign use pixel animated sex scenes? Maybe I recall incorrectly, but I think neither has it. It is something not many games use sadly.

Actually yes, only that the last sovering uses pixel art with images, and warloks and boobs the same, in the latter you have the option of pressing a key to remove the image and see the pixel art animation, although obviously better animation has the HC

Some people have already asked for different routes already, but I'm afraid it'll just increase the workload and thus will reduce the amount of content people would like to see on each route. I remember playing a game that looked good on paper with tons of different routes involving all kinds of fetishes, but there was so much different content that you would have to wait half a year to see at least a bit of content on the route you were interested in. I quickly lost interest and never picked the game again. I'm afraid the same could happen if I were to create different routes for Henteria Chronicles.

Successful people don't ask others for their opinion on what to do, they create what they love trusting there will be an audience there. Don't sacrifice quality, write what you feel, cultivate your own audience not someone elses. (I can think of a million authors, tech gurus etc. that I could cite as an example, but I will instead point to Gabe with Legend of Opala series - thousands at this point have cried out in pain at the lack of MC scenes and the overabundance of artwork dedicated to the girls fucking monsters and such - Gabe never listens, and has created a ton of wealth for him/herself for like a decade now). So if you do start taking feedback from the masses, make sure to limit the options to things you are not only willing to do but eager.

Yeah, if you want to please everyone, you end up pleasing noone. Personally I also dislike those games with hundreds of routes. They might be great games once they finish... in like 6 years. But following their development is very painful.
Also I feel that an NTR without a choice is also a good type of NTR. Kinda everything is hopeless and you cant do shit. I always felt that if it was by character choice (or player choice), it becomes a bit more like netorase.

Apologies for going meta, but if you have chosen to read/play ntr, then the distinction of netorase/netorare based on existence of player choices is just technical. People who want the despair ending will choose the despair ending anyway, they've been looking for it from the start.
I think choices are generally preferable and most visual novels have different kinds of endings for the very reason that there are different kinds of ntr fans. So far as the ending fits the story and characters of course.
That being said I agree that too much branching should be avoided if you're a one man team.

HAHA they make me look bad, the more I talked about how I felt as a player, because maybe this is the first game that it hurts to play, the part of Casio didn't hurt so much maybe because he said he was ignorant by not declaring himself or waiting too long , that's why only in the true ending I appreciated the first game. But in the second the background music, the story since I was a child, the relationship between mother and son and celis, is so incredible that believe me that it makes me want to search, like the hell except those 2 or at least one, Maybe it's desperation but it's the truth, that's how I feel when playing, being honest that's why I avoid the scenes of them 2 but I look for the others haha.

NTR is not avoidable and it is netorare (MC being cheated), not netori (which would be MC doing the cheating).
