How many updates are expected for this game? Plus, when will we see Etain again? I like this character.

I know the dev wont see it or care, but you are actually so good you made me fall in love with almost all female character i saw in the other patchs so i have no objection about focusing on Druid but please give us a way to find those chicks
I'm not sure how many updates there will be to the game, but I have planned out the entire story line until the end, so there is no filler material as far as the chapters go. More about Etain is included in v0.8.1 of the game, which is available to my highest level patrons right now and will be available to the lower tiers over the next month before being publicly released.
That would be Eva and Rhiannon, I would guess.
Eva will come back into the DARK DRUID story line even though she is a main partner for the Champion. Unfortunately, Rhiannon won't come back into DARK DRUID, since the only reason she came to Celtica was because of the Warlord main character, so any update for her will take time. Red Lady? Also doubtful (but for a reason you would never suspect). As for the others, Aideen, Caz-Cora, Clio and Lia are definitely in DARK DRUID and the thunderstorm that is Granya is yet to hit!
I know that that the Champion path is not a harem route. But is there going to be a Brigid and Etain throuple path?
There are no plans for that particular combination but if I were a character in that world, that would definitely be two ladies at the top of my list to warm my fur-laden bed on a rainy winter night.

Slamjax just wanted to say great game! Enjoy the choices and origins, as well as the attention to mythological accuracy! It feels like almost dragon age origins/mass effect style. Did you have any game influences you think of to create this game?
Love me a dark path so I'm excited for more warlord, but the sleazeball and scheming nature of the dark druid is really winning me over.
There aren't very many good historical/mythological porn games out there and I hope this one does very well for you.
I'm a stickler for good plot/story and I refuse to play games that I think have shit plot structure or are boring 1-D fuckfests. This one really won me over even though the graphics initially put me off from it.

I previously skipped over this due to the main thumbnail in the F95 thread updates page I look over (MC looked a bit cheesy), and I now see I was mistaken in passing on this.
It is a solid RPG-flavored romp without grinding or over-done gamification/mini-games but with plenty of meaningful choices. Fun and interesting lore, characters, and choices. I usually turn off background music but here it fits so well here I had to leave it on. Well done. Also the chicks are hot, developed sufficiently, and hard to deny.

While I am a fan of the original Dragon Age and Mass Effect trilogy, they weren't really influences on me for making this game. Because of how the Ren'Py game engine works, I just wanted to make a simple visual novel with a smart and capable main character where the player makes choices and gains/loses attribute points. The main thing I want players to enjoy are the adult scenes and situations, mixed with an interesting story that they feel they have some control over. I don't think my game will do very well because of the graphics (that will always be a disadvantage for me) but I do hope I can build a modest core of strong fans and supporters.
One thing I am paying attention to is having plenty of male characters in the game. In many AV games, the main character can almost be the only male and I think stories become less interesting because of that. To tell the rich stories of Irish mythology, plenty of male characters are essential to build a more convincing game world for the players.

I respect the way you've identified issues that I took special care to work on - choices that matter, no boner-killing grinds or mini-games and carefully chosen music to play into the magical atmosphere of a Celtic fantasy world. I always considered the soundtrack to be really important for player immersion!

I think the Irish mythology makes this game really special. Are you learning about Irish mythology just for the sake of this game? It feels like it. The quality definitely goes up because of it.
The Champion seems to want them in a throuple and/or a polygamous marriage. He implies it when he says, "But perhaps there would be a way for both women to accept me and accept each other? I dare to dream."
The Warlord goes for the fiercest of alpha women. I admire and respect that. The game classifies him as "principled evil." I see him more as an antihero and/or antivillain.

The wants of the lesser - the MC in this game is a lesser being to other champions, both male and female that are stronger than him, higher in the standings than him - are what gods like to hang them from - so be mindful of what plans and dreams MC does have, because in order to have meaningful other characters in the game, they will steal the spotlight from time to time and the danger is making MC so codependant on this or that character or their whims, that it turns into a waiting game, filled with spells of looking for others to make a move, rather than moving the story forward himself, by the deeds of his own doing.
Going for the peak in a companion or in politics or in confrontation is THE STAPLE OF aCHILLES, DAVID, HERACLES - the commanding presence in a society or on the battlefiels, like the champion or the warlord will have to do just that, or else. Delivering the fatal blow and stealing the force of the opposing champion or ruler is the age old rule of tribal elites.
I haven't played further than 0.7.0, but based on what little I know about Celtic mythology, (possible spoiler warning) Aideen might be a reincarnation of Etain. They're both alternate names for the same character, and at one point in Etain's myth she gets turned into a fly and accidentally swallowed, but she's reborn as the daughter of the person who swallowed her. Cuckoldry and incest ensue.
I know she shows up in the Druid route, and the focus seems to shift to her if you choose to search for the four treasures. I remember she shows up in at least one other route, possibly the Champion, but I was skipping through those to look for something so I don't remember which route it was or what happens in it. I did, however, notice one line in that route where Aengus mentions that Etain was turned into a fly and he lost track of her, which I don't think was brought up in the Druid route.
The situation is complicated. What the MC wants and what he can get are two different things. There are no shortages of women for the Champion.
