Thanks for the feedback and thoughts on the plot.Alright, after the suggestion from a friend in another thread, I gave this game a shot. The story so far was pretty good. I noticed some names from mythology and such. From what I can tell, my MC ended up on the Warlord path and I actually enjoyed it a lot. Kind of sad with what happened to Morrigan and that I didn't get to tap Etain and Flida. But damn was Rhiannon hot. Her and the Red Lady.
For the whole time skip portion, I think the two Forvorian pairs that are hunting said treasures are the children of Balor. Hopefully I'll be able to fuck the sister, if so. I did peek at the other routes and I would say Druid seemed the most powerful? Though with the name of the game, that should be obvious. Not sure if that's the actual canon playthrough, but power wise, it seems to be the strongest. I would also say that it seems more like an illusion spell casted on the land, rather than a mirror world as Rhiannon suggested. Since if they were powerful enough to go to the mirror world, they wouldn't have waited for the MC to revive to go on the move for the items. Though, it's strange in general since there exist beings with powers that seemingly transcend time. I'll have to play more to organize my thoughts better on this.
Anyway, I'll have to save some of this discussion for when I try out the other paths completely. But I'll say for now that the Warlord path is my main. Since I like the direction it's going. I don't think I'll like Champion and Bard that much from what little I did see. Since I do love to do evil shit and I don't think there will be many choices that are outright evil on those paths, but I'll give them a shot. My only slight critique would be that there's 4 distinct paths. Not necessarily bad, but I would imagine it slows the advancement of some of the plot of the routes. Since I don't think one route can reach a certain point until the others do as well. But that's about it. Great game, interesting story that I'll love to see more of going forward.
Warlord path is my favorite as well. The morrigan not being able to recognize her own champion is such a cool twist to the story.Alright, after the suggestion from a friend in another thread, I gave this game a shot. I have a question, on the DARK DRUID path, we had that dream invasion thing, with the Queen and another girl, will they be introduced to the game, have any major significance, or that was just a show? Thanks for the feedback and thoughts on the plot.
From what I've been told, Warlord and Druid are the favorite story lines. I guess people just like playing MCs that have a bit of a wicked edge to them.
As for the issue of 4 distinct paths slowing down story development, many people identified that early on. That's why this game is now HEROES OF CELTICA: DARK DRUID (subtitle) until the druid story line is complete. It makes sense I pour all my effort into one of the character-types first and get that complete. I personally hate AV games that go wide and keep adding more and more female characters. I prefer games that go deep with a tight cast of core characters. That's what I'm trying to do with DARK DRUID - keep the story line development a little tighter and focused.
