After v0.9.0 will come v0.10.0, v0.11.0 etc...I'm not really sure how to express this feeling...
The narrative and feeling of this game is great, it really feels like anYou must be registered to see the links. As such, the contents of this game feels too little? That's to say, if the current content per update holds, all classes would receive 1-2 more contents before v1.0. That doesn't feel enough to finish the story with this many characters?
The Warlord path was leaked. There no need for change log since there is only Warlord and Druid minor story update.Oh, Patreon version got leaked. Gonna be weird if we get a 3.1/4.1 but this thread stays stuck at 4.0. No changelog visible, but I'm guessing the only thing added in this update was the first chapter(s) of the fourth route?
Anywho, would it be possible to split the replay gallery between the four (or five, counting prologue) routes? It seems to currently be just in the order that the scenes were added to the game, which makes it hard to tell whether you've missed a scene in the route you're playing.
Yeah, this month has been weird and rough. I've actually lost supporters and income with the latest release. Since Heroes of Celtica was launched, I've not been able to grow my supporter base at all - it been an almost perfect flat line from the prologue until this month, where it is now dipping (guess a few don't like the vibe of the Bard). With Stellar Incognita, I would at least get 3-5 new supporters with each update - it was really slow, but it was progress. I think as I neared v1.0.0 of that game, I maxed out at 55 paid supporters. For those 39 paid supporters that currently remain, I don't think it will take much for half of them to leave. With two completed games, this is not the direction I wanted to be going in for supporter growth. It takes a lot of free time after real work to get an update out, so I want to feel my effort is worth it.Oh, Patreon version got leaked. i can only say why i personally wouldn't support a project like that. you are making for all intend and purpose 4 different games. If i am only interested in one of those games i would pay you 3/4 of the time to work not for me.Yeah, this month has been rough. I've actually lost supporters and income with the latest release. Clearly, Celtica is not resonating with enough people that they want to support its development. Hardly anyone knows this game exists and it hasn't gained any critical mass, so that's also a problem. A lot of my core support at the moment comes from those people that have stuck around since Stellar Incognita. In the months to come, I will absolutely need to make some hard decisions - do I put the game on hiatus or do I only focus on one route? Or something else? I think the fundamental issue is that people that want mind-control in their adult games want to get right into those scenes and don't want too much story or slow-burn to get to it. I can understand that. This is not a sob-story, it's just the hard truth.
For the rest of February, I am focusing on Stellar Incognita EX with the aim of an eventual Steam release. I'll consider my options in the next few weeks. Maybe make a Patreon post to see what my remaining supporters think, but I've already got ideas.
Good point and fair feedback. The obvious choice, based on the supporter base I have, would be Druid. That's why Druid gets an update every release, but maybe not enough for someone to open their wallets in these tough times.i can only say why i personally wouldn't support a project like that. you are making for all intend and purpose 4 different games. And even if i plan to play all 4 paths your ideas all sound awesome but are they realistic?
I don't know if it'll solve the supporter problem, but I do think one solvable issue would be focusing on just one route at a time. Slow burn combined with drip-feed isn't a great combination, and I personally don't think the problem is how much story there is between scenes, but how much real time there is between updates. As the other person said, someone who's only interested in one route will feel like they're waiting for three other games to update before getting back to the one they're interested in. Of course, this may end up with people dropping out altogether when their preferred route ends and you move on to the others... But as the saying goes, "He who chases two rabbits will catch neither." (Maybe. I don't know shit about Patreon or engagement farming or anything like that.)In the months to come, I will absolutely need to make some hard decisions - do I put the game on hiatus or do I only focus on one route? i'm only here because i looked for new harem games and i didn't play your game yet. But i also enjoy mindcontrol games as long as MC is the one controlling.Good point and fair feedback. To try and expand out the supporter base, Champion and Bard are there for those that want an adult fantasy adventure where the MC is somewhat likeable and you build relationships with your female teammates - that seems not to be working, though.
