Trying to second (or better third) that. Also without trying to put anybody with a different approach down. But for me the important thing is more the feeling of progress than the actual reaching of a goal. Don't get me wrong, I want to bed almost all the girls in almost all the games in the end, but when they throw themselves at me, the feeling of progress, and yes, conquest and overcoming obstacles is gone. I don't just want to watch the scenes, I want to earn them - and also want to get to know the girls a little before the action starts. Similar with money issues: working for the stuff and then deciding what I need first and most is more fun to me than just buying everything because I have the make me rich cheat at hand.
That doesn't mean however that these games should be especially hard. A bit of a challenge is okay, trying three weeks to overcome one problem isn't. And as for grind, there are some spectacularily bad ones out there where you have to relive the same one minute unskippable animation, go home, sleep, go back again to advance one affection level, where you will get 3-16 dollars from working and need 1000 for a suit and 100,000 for a car. This one, however, so far isn't one of them to me. Not by a long shot.
But yeah, tastes differ, some people just want to see the graphics and don't even care about the girls' names or your relationship (in a general sense) or context, I am probably more at the other end of the spectrum. And then there's everything inbetween. And of course also everybody probably has times where they just want to relax and times where they want to do something.
