Bro could've hired some local talent (he's top 1% earnings in his country) for a small fraction of his patreon milk to finish this game. Hell he could've even funded a sequel or something for some easy cash. But he's too lazy to do even that. Better just keep raking in the dough with false promises, JPEGs and GIFs.
Just checking in on the empty promises. We should be getting another Christmas special any year now, right?

Brother, calling the dev out is fine, but at least do it for the right reasons. This game has been tagged Abandoned for a long time now, and a Patreon post doesn't remove the tag anyway, only a new update does. You are, indeed acting like a fool here.

I mean, do we trust Komi here or is he just chatting shit again? I don't know. I think he really needs to change his tune if he wants people to stop doubting him when he makes posts like these

Reading his post there are 2 major red flags in there:
1. He talks a lot about how great and extensive the update will be and how he is going to release it but makes no mention at all, in that great wall of text, as to WHEN the update will be released. Not even some ballpark estimate, like in the next 2 weeks or 2 month or 3 month... nothing.
2. In a post about releasing the update he says that he is LOOKING FOR ARTISTS?! A post about the release is normally made when the dev is in the final polishing stages of development not when he doesn't even have all the art let alone the artist...
Now if we consider the situation up until now that the dev was promising to release chapter 1 by the end of 2022 in 2022, and then made a lot of other statements which didn't come true, then this post starts to really feel like an attempt to prolong the milking of the gullible:
1. He strings along the gullible by saying the update is coming... but doesn't say when so you can't really hold him to any time frame
2. He says he is looking for artists so he can later have an excuse as to why it's taking so long to release anything...
This is what his post seems like to me given the circumstances.

Komi will always be chatting Bantha poodoo, which makes those posts kind of entertaining for the wrong and right reasons.
I agree with the first point but the second one is not quite that hard cut. You can also read that as "chapter 1 was too much for just me, I will need an artist for next updates".
Not that I actually believe that, but do consider it's possible to interpret it in multiple ways

More likely it will be Christmas miracle around 2030-ish.There hasn't been update for 2,3 years maybe longer,that Halloween stuff is the same as it was 3y ago when i played it.Just re-posted every Halloween

If there's a 2024 release it'll definitely be late december. More likely is a 2025 release. From the looks of our scant little dev longs things seem to be wrapping up, so it should be out "soon". Relatively.
The only real certainty is that it won't be in the next month, and that it'll absolutely be disappointing for the amount of time and effort put into it. The rewrite was as much a mistake in concept as in execution (who redesigns the whole game in one big block like that, bro?). There's exactly zero chance it was worth this long of a wait.
Our best case scenario though is a release in december or early 2025 that allows Komi to go back to more regular updates, and then we can actually talk about something besides overwhelming cynicism and vinegar from people who weren't even following this game prior to the Long Drought.
